Well I had a chat with Buds a minute ago. They tell that their costs is based off who they purchase from. According to Henry site you can order that rifle from them thru an FFL dealer at or below MSRP which is right now 1100.

To me they aren't worth that much.
The only new le er gun that I would pay over a grand for is an Henry original.
I'm just really glad I have more than I will ever need.
Feel sorry for anyone looking for a good firearms at this time.

Looked at GB for some small rifle primers. I'm not crazy enough to pay those prices. I think it's an engineered shortage but that's just me. I'll hold off a bit.

My thinking: When I go to a LGS, I see bags of 50 rounds handloads from $75-$100. I find it very hard to believe that the shop will place normal priced factory loads next to overpriced handloads for sell. I suspect that the shop will try and sell as much of the overprice stuff as it can before considering normal price stuff. If not, it is stuck with overpriced stuff. But, that is just my thinking.
