As disturbing as having to have to shop Wally World, I do like to buy the larger can of Silk. I also shop for an additional few items. I limit my money and time that I spend in that store. I am not sure if Sam's Club sells a larger size (37 oz) that I buy from Wally's. When I was working 48 hour weekends at the hospital, I bought that handy 10 oz size. The X-ray Dept had to buy their own coffee and supplies out of the Techs own pocket. We weren't classified as direct care of patients. I could usually get 2 weekends worth of coffee.
I'm glad that I am RETIRED!!!!

Well, survived the VA trip, got out of there around noon-thirty. Blood sugar a little high, no surprise, other than that , did ok.
Me & my Urologist sat & talked about guns & shooting after he got thru ( examining ) me, LOL. Our visits are usually 10 mins
business, 30 mins guns'/shootin, etc. Good guy.

Hurried out of here this morning to attend a retiree breakfast get together. Wow, those guys sure are getting old.
Beautiful morning. Thirties to the high fifties with sunshine. 30 to 40 degrees above normal. Not gonna last.
Having trouble with leg pain so didn't eat at all. Just drank coffee and listened to talk about who died last month.

I made up for it at lunch. Took Carol to Cracker Barrel and had their fried chicken with greens and pinto beans.

The DNR contacted my neighbor and he referred them to me as I am the chairman of the shoreland owners assn.
They found Chronic Wasting Disease in the deer herd around our lake, and they want to bring in sharpshooter's
from the US FDA to thin the herd down. Sounds draconian but I send out emails to all of the assn members. They
need the landowners permission to do this hunt. If they do any deer that are not infected will be butchered and the
landowners will get the meat.

I talked to the DNR lady and she said they hunt at night using infra red spot lights and laser sights. She also thinks they
use silencers.

Sad.

I understand the need to remove the CWD deer, but why not allow licensed hunters to kill the deer? Have a drawing, quota, whatever
the need is, rather than bring in Gov. sharpshooters.

34 degrees now, but we are supposed to hit 70 today. It’s going to be a week of wide ranging temps.

This week it looks like we will finally get a break from the rain, hopefully letting us make good headway on the construction portion of my project at work.

Warmer temps and longer days seem to be working their way in.

I’m really looking forward to taking a week off the week before Easter, though I think it will be a little cooler up at the cabin.

She did mention that as an option, but most of my neighbors don't hunt. In fact many of them
feed the deer. We do not unless they are in extreme distress such as two weeks ago with ice
and temps in the -20 degrees.
The problem is that we normally don't allow rifles or shotguns to hunt these woods. Only archery.
There aren't a lot of homes on the lake, but we have had instances of bullets hitting homes.

Had a great day with my outdoor burning project yesterday but I quit a little bit early because the wind freshened up a bit. Back at it today.

Even tho I’m just a 100’ from the house when I burn I take a thermos of coffee with me. Nice to have the convince of pouring a fresh cup without having to drag mud into the house.

Made it to Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico. We are in a very nice RV Park here well kept by new owners from one of my favorite spots in Texas. Kerrville. Very nice young lady and her husband that own the place. 55 degrees her this am and headed to mid 60's they say but were gonna get some wind this afternoon. Had another day of safe and great travel. Not we will be here for at least a week and maybe more. Weather to go back home looks terrible.

After our recent trip to the Black Hills area of South Dakota my wife wanted to move there. I suggested she wouldn’t like the winters there and after reading your weather comments this season I’ll have to remind her that once again I AM RIGHT.

In our mid 60’s we really should be looking at a warmer climate but politically I much prefer the northern states not named Washington.
