Re: What's for supper?
On a recent trip to Coeur d’alene just across the border in Idaho my wife and I were in a different part of the town and saw a Cracker Barrel. Neither of us had ever been to a Cracker Barrel (none in Spokane I’m aware of) so on yesterday’s trip to CDA we timed it to have dinner at CB. I have read many posts here about some of you enjoying Cracker Barrel and wanted to give it a try. We both had the Chicken Fried Steak and it was great. We wanted to try the Fried Chicken but since we had Chick Fillet the night before decided to wait for the Fried Chicken.
Been a good week, our second Chick Fillet ever and our first Cracker Barrel.
Tonight’s a rump roast in the oven.

Re: What's for supper?
The Gumbo was good, but I really liked the Shiner's.
I had recorded "The River of No Return" with Robert Mitchem and Marilyn Monroe, and wondered how
Carol would react to Marilyn. Lots of women disliked her for various reasons, but Carol enjoyed the
movie. It was a nice evening.
Carol's daughter and her family are coming out this afternoon to take us out to dinner for her birthday.
I'm surprised they can find the time. It irks me that for years Carol went into the city to baby sit their
little boy every Friday, and now that he's in school they have little time for her. They spend all their
time with the other Grandparents. I know it hurts her.

Tonite is Chilean Sea Bass, Wild and long Grain Rice and Ceasar salad. I love the bass, even though I"m not a big white fish eater. Love the consistency and flavor the way she prepares it! Kinda expensive though.

It actually turned out really well. They came early and stayed late for a change. Carol had a chance to
see the little boy she took care of. He's 7 now and every time I asked how he felt to be 5, he corrected me.
We went to our favorite Supper Club and had prime rib with salads and a baked potato. Carol had two glasses of
wine and then a brandy alexander. Let's just say she had a good time.
A 7 year old can eat a lot of food.

Re: What's for supper?
Well the oven roasted rump roast came out wonderful. It’s a bottom round not top so not as tender but very tasty. Didn’t have any baker sized potatoes on hand so did a couple of smaller sized.
