Halibut fish cakes with brussel sprouts and parmesan pasta. Was a great dinner.

Had fried Chicken from the local grocery store deli. They do a great job. Green beans and white Homony on the side.
Wife took the nite off from cooking.

Re: What's for supper?
As we were in the city today Carol picked up some shell fish and tonight she will be making Chepino. That's shellfish and fish in a tomato sauce.
I absolutely love it. It has shrimp, mussels, clams, oysters, craw dads, and fish as well as hot peppers (jalapeno).
She serves it with a crusty French Bread.
It's kind of like tomato soup kicked up, and it's HOT!
I'll wash it down with a nice dark beer.
Looking foreword.

BUT it had no taste .... saying it was bland would be an understatement .... at $22 for a Pizza, we won't be ordering from them again
we decided to give the same local Pizza place we ordered from right after we got here in January .... happy to say the pizza was much better this time

It’s Friday so no meat, wife’s been sick all day so tomato soup and grilled cheese. BTW Coop jalapeños aren’t very hot!

A good video that explains why hot peppers burn, starts at 36 minutes in, at 44 minutes 3 gentlemen let a 15 year old girl win the pepper eating contest. Maybe she knew that most men can't stand to see a girl cry but the tears do look real.

What? Do you eat Scotch Bonnets on your breakfast cereal?
They're hot enough for me.

Oh yeah, Carol makes pepper jelly. Love it, but not with Habaneros!

Re: What's for supper?
Spokane has it’s first Chick-FIL-a that opened a couple of months ago. The lines were so long that the local police dept had to do traffic control. So yesterday while out running errands we thought that stopping by around 3:00pm and getting food to go we should get thru pretty quickly. Hmmmm, after waiting in line at the drive thru for an hour we got our sandwiches. Of course like always I picked the slow lane. There were two lanes and I watched the car that entered the other lane the same time as I did. It went through the order/pick up process at least 15 minutes before I did. That’s me, if I have a 50% chance of being right or wrong I will be wrong 100% of the time.
Anyway, this was our second Chick-FIL-a meal with the first being in St. George Utah and man, those sandwiches are good.

Re: What's for supper?
Couldn’t agree with you more Al, once I realized just how long we were going to be in that line there was no escape. So much for my plan on getting there at 3:00 pm on a weekday. Of course I started bit$h*ng about the difference in the lane speed and my wife told me to quit whining. Seems like I hear that quite a bit.

Wife says we're having Gumbo for dinner and I was at the Liquor store today and they had Shiner's, so I picked up a 12 pack of bottles.

I only drink Shiners in the bottles. I think that you don't get that metallic twang. Just IMHO.

Tonight I made chicken marsala, lightly breaded chicken sautéed in butter, onions, shallots, mushrooms with smashed taters and sautéed mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onion). Wife liked it, it came out good the sauce was slightly sweet from the wine and creamy from the butter

Re: What's for supper?
We went Thai food today. Asian wife, so, she likes to cook this and see how I like it. So far, pretty damn tasty food! Beef satay[I think!], some sort of chicken and a bunch of rice. YUM! Oh, while she's cooking that, went and bought Thai beer! Gooood! Lazy now.
