A few CZ's were also sold one was a 455 Lux, which is a model I hate, and the two others were a 452 Ultra Lux and a 527 Varmint 223. There is some spoken for that will be bought in the next month or so with some buyers waiting on checks. I must admit to buying one this month even though I said I wasn't buying any more. A mint condition Remington 541-S turned up at a good price and I couldn't turn it down. Owner of this rifle is a family member and he gave me a very good price for a rifle that is very collectable. This rifle doesn't have a single mark on it. I had shot this rifle before and knew about it's great accuracy so in a moment of weakness
Site seems to be OK. Load issue should be resolved now.

Sold five this month
I have sold five guns from my collection this month and have two sales pending. In the last two years or so since I have started to reduce the numbers I have really sold my Marlin 39A collection way down. My wife and I had 26 and now we are down to seven. Probably will keep four or five because she won't sell about three she is attached to. She has a 39 AWL that won't be sold at least for now and two other ones she bought on her own that will probably remain here. I have drifted away from the lever rifles but will keep maybe two or three including my 1897 Century Limited. A few other rifles and a Remington 870 made in '55 went to a dealer that actually gave me good money for them because of how the prices are high right now. All sold to private individuals were done through my dealer to get them in the new owners name.

I forked over the cash.
Maybe I can get BigAl to post pictures of it for me.

Re: Sold five this month
The pictures BigAl was so nice to post for me again is the Remington 541-S I bought last Saturday. It is in very nice condition and has a some what different look with the light colored spot on the butt stock. I have had stocks before with sap wood but maybe not this big of a spot. Most who have looked at it likes it but I wish it wasn't there but I don't plan on stripping a stock with finish that is flawless and is tough as nails. Thanks again to BigAl for the picture posting.

Beautiful rifle. What scope is on it, the size looks to be perfect for that rifle. Nice set up!

Getting very hard to find those 541 S Remingtons. Wonderful rifles.
I think we're ahead of you on having sold off guns, right now. Some of the money from the sales has gone back into our air gun shooting, since we can do air gun shooting at home all we want, anytime we want and do it cheaper than with regular guns.

I agree. Those classic gloss Rimfire Leupold scopes were the best looking rimfire scopes, ever. Gloss scopes, of course, are no longer in style. I think it's a generational thing, though. We oldsters grew up with gloss scopes and highly polished guns.bandit1250 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 8:46 pmScope is a Leupold 2-7 rim fire. It is a very clear scope and I think Leupold should have stayed with the Vari-X older style scopes.

Good gun. I have done quite well in restraining myself. Waiting for the Henry 357 I ordered 2 months ago and resisted bringing home anything else. It helps that there was not much to choose from.

Re: Sold five this month
I’ve been thinking of selling some off but just don’t want the hassle. I have home improvement projects stealing my freedom. The hard part is deciding what to sell!
This morning I looked up the closest Cabela’s and got their phone number. I call went to voice mail and I hung up. I emailed them and said I had between 20 and 50 firearms I wanted to sell.
Twenty min later I get a call from the number I just called. It was the store gun buyer very interested in what I have. After 45 minutes of chatting I have an appointment to bring in seven modern firearms. I have seven AR’s selected and three cheapie.22LR single shots which he wasn’t much interested in.
I’m thinking if I sell the good stuff now I’ll never get rid of the less desirable. So it’s all ten or nothing. I’m expecting an offer of 65% of what they think they can actually sell it for.

Had a friend do that a few years back. He had a lot of guns so they came to his home. He got 70%.

I know the feeling, Gene. This is the time to be selling, though. Best I've seen in a long, long time.
