Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
after so many days of such cold temps, it somewhat hard to believe that we awoke to a temp of 52 degrees .... heavy overcast but no mention of rain in the forecast .... supposed to get up to 66 today .... thick cut bacon, eggs and Folgers, not a bad start of the day .... rewatching John Wayne and Susan Hayward in "The Conqueror"
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Our forecast calls for 2 - 4" of wet heavy snow throughout today. At 23 degrees this morning, it is 30 deg warmer than a week ago. After this winter, I won't complain about mowing the yard this summer...until about the end of June.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Currently 32 with a light snow falling and possibly 40 today. Haven’t seen a 40 degree temperature in a while. It’s supposed to be on the mild side for a few days with maybe another mild cold spell coming in later in the week. I’m ready for spring.
Looking at a road trip in May possibly to Arizona and New Mexico and we plan to sit down today and study some maps and figure out what we want to see.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well, back from church and brunch. 22 degrees and starting to snow.
I remarked on the way this morning that it was actually 40+ degrees warmer than a week ago.
Brunch is at an Irish Pub and Grill in town. On Sunday morning you need reservations to get in.
Country fried steak with farm fresh eggs. Add crispy hash browns and toast with jelly.
Washed it down with good coffee.
They really do a good job.
Carol had a Bloody Mary. Problem with that is, she gets a bit mouthy.

As for Carol, give her another Bloody Mary. Might have the opposite effect!

Me, I'm kinda in the middle.
Maybe we should put them in the same room and go have a beer while they work things out.

The cold has left town. I am very pleased. Its 33° seems like a heat wave. Regardless, the coffee still hits the spot.

Morning, seems that it has Ozark, seems it has and not soon enough.
Starting out at 39° and headed towards 50.
Gonna go play in some mud today, aka, go to werk.
Made it up to 60 here yesterday, and that made a lot of this white dirt leave.

Have fun at werk. 55 down here on the Gulf. Headed to 64 sunny degrees today. Time is flying by. Two weeks from today we are headed out of here and going to New Mexico. Hopefully it doesn’t get into a deep freeze over there.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
24 this morning and supposed to hit 40 today and tomorrow.
About 4 inches of snow overnight, just enough to plow I guess, but if I wait long enough it might melt.
Got an emergency phone call at seven this morning. Neighbor lady was very ill and needed a ride to the
Emergency Room twenty miles away. Got her there quickly and then stopped at Micky Ds for a burrito and
coffee. Back home now. Guess I'll plow.

37 and heading to the mid 40’s later. Very windy so that will put a damper on what would have otherwise been a nice day. A pleasant week ahead with temps and no snow/rain other than one day. Then maybe another cool down but nothing like we just had.
Just enjoying my coffee for now with breakfast on the horizon but in the words of Grand Funk Railroad, “it’s getting closer to my home”.

32* early this AM. 51* now heading to low 60s and sunny later. Got into the truck yesterday afternoon, and I was the warmest I'v been in a week. Had the thermastat set to 62* last week to help the strain on the Texas Grid. Silly I guess. Luckily, we did not experience any outage or water pipe damage. We were really blessed by the Lord.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's been a tough month for us here in Minnesooota as well. I looked out my front window this morning
just before setting out, and I had a fan club of fifteen or so turkeys and two buck deer standing looking
at the house. I had to wait until I got back and plowed the snow before I could spread some corn out for them.
Now we're all plowed and the flock is fed.
It's forty right now and the snow and ice are melting fast. The sun this time of the year is powerful.
Supposed to be warm all week.'
