Getting things ready early for fall hunting

I spent a rainy Sunday rearranging my safe to move rifles up front I want to use this fall and putting ones to the rear that I only shoot from my back porch. I got 4 lever rifles ready to go to the range maybe before this month is over. Cleaned them up and checked all the screws to make sure they are tight and checked the mount screws on the scoped ones. I want to take the peep sight 444 for the early senior season in late Oct. for antlerless deer. Sat out the last two seasons due to the CWD in my zones I hunt in but I need to restock the freezer. I am not a die hard deer hunter but I like the meat from them. If I didn't like to make use of the meat I would not leave the house to go in deer season. I need to find time to get some ammo loaded for the 35 Remington 336. I have had this gun for three years and it has never seen the woods and that needs to change or send it to a new home. I have a problem getting around to using what deer caliber rifles I own and blame it mostly on having the Remington 250 Savage Classic that Dad left me. It just feels good taking a rifle in the woods that was his and he loved so much. This rifle has killed many deer since he bought it new and has a perfect record on one shot kills but is a little destructive for such a small round. I could change bullets and tame it down some but just don't want to because of it's great record. 87gr. Hornady SPT at 3190 fps has been all that has been used in it. Any one else wanting to get a early start getting things ready for the fall season that will be here before we know it? Here is my four lever rifles that just need to go to the range now to be ready for me. nice collection .... well understood on having several to choose from and when the time comes to pick, most of the time, ending up with the same one .... for many years I didn't have much of a choice and had no concerns over hunting with my long time favorite Browning BLR 308 .... over time, as I've added hunting rifles to our collection, I've tried to move in the direction of keeping the area to be hunted when picking the rifle .... example : when down east hunting in a Texas type tower stand overlooking a square mile soybean, peanut, or corn field, I take my favorite long range rifle, a Remington 700 BDL 300 WBY Mag .... when hunting a power line with up to a 200 yard view, in rainy weather I take our Remington 700 Stainless 30-06 .... in pretty weather I take our Browning BLR 308 .... when hunting in the woods or under conditions where shots are limited to less than 100 yards, I would decide between our Henry 44 Mag and Henry 45-70 .... the choice between them would be largely influenced by would I need to walk very far, if so, the 44 is much lighter .... its great to have choices .... now that I've spent some hours with it on various ranges, if I ever go dangerous game hunting in the areas they can be found around here, the Henry 45-70 would get the nod

You have some really nice deer rifles there and it is always a good feeling when you can anticipate the upcoming season. I really have not decided which one I will hunt with this year. The choices are the Remington 760 Gamemaster .30-06, Marlin 1894 .44 magnum with a scope and the Marlin .44 magnum with iron sights.

I have never hunted deer but friends who do have helped me appreciate the taste of venison. That is some good stuff!

You have a fine selection of levers.
I though I was pretty well set with mine. Then I Went to a gun show last sat. And another 35 rem
Fallowed me home. Pre cross bolt safety that is like New.
