The Adult Evening Beverage

Two Yuenglings and listened to four grandkids (ages 2-9), all boys. Peace was not part of the evening. But, it was still enjoyable.

I first tasted a Yuengling when I visited my daughter in Upstate NY and loved it. Cannot get it here in Minnesoooota. I've even
asked them to order some and they said they never heard of it.

I have been drinking beers for a few years (about 40 or so). Most times, it has been Michelob or Budweiser. I think that I was at a Ruby Tuesday's in Maryland. It was out of Michelob. I ask for something close. And, Yuengling was offered. I have been drinking it (when I can get it) every since. That's probably been about 15 years ago.

They also got a beer call Fat Tire there. That seems to be my second choice. Michelob and Budweiser have become my third and fourth choice now. But tonight, I am sipping a Black and Tan. When a beer is cold, most seem to go down well.

The only other dark beer that I have had is Guinness. Guinness had more of a liquorice taste to me. Black and Tan is much milder than that. It has more of a subtle caramel taste to me, with a slight bitter taste (kind of like a Budweiser). The caramel seems to balance the bitterness though. As far as stout, it is much more tamer than a Samuel Adams. Between Guinness, Samuel Adams, and Black and Tan, Black and Tan would be the choice for me. It is more middle of the road between the other two extremes. Yet, it does not have a single note, like the Traditional Yuengling, to me. For me, I just like to keep things simple.

Mark I dont like Guinness at all but give me a Shiner Bock any time. Its a dark beer but its really smooth. Try some

Wished we could’ve flew over but a mandatory 14 quarantine in a hotel room plus only 10 people in the church and only 10 people allowed for the reception so just have to watch video.

GFK got it just about right on his description.
Al those Shiners are the bomb, another favorite is the Negra Modelo.
I will drink a Guinness, but I prefer any of three previous beers.

Like the Modelo Negras myself. Even my wife likes Shiners. She normally drinks that tasteless Ultra. Only way I can drink one of those is if Im really thirsty

Al, picked up a six of Shiner Bock today and had a couple...very good!!
Being a native Texan, I don't know why I had never tried it before now. Yum!
Now, a little 46 in honor of Randy...hope he's having fun!!

Son taught me how to make a black & tan, took a glass poured half with bass pale and then using the back of a spoon and poured the other half with Guinness and it was delicious, skol!

Thanks for the recipe brm. Might have to use the ratio to get an idea of what it tastes like. Don't want to be left with 11+1/2 bottles of beer.

Evening guys, yeah late to me own party. Yes brm that's a real one.
Very good and better than the Yuengling.
Was gonna pickup Shiner Bock today, but they were sold out.
So I bought the B&T's, also picked up some 46, was mighty low.

Been talkin with the oldest tonight, last 1.5 hrs.
Little bit of everything, nice talk.
Beautiful day here got up to 60°.
