I base my thoughts on the fact that most vaccines contain something from the disease they are treating. This is to make your body build immunities to that disease. This vaccine doesnt have that.

Our feds today said the vaccine won't be mandatory but there could be consequences if you don't get one. Now there's freedom for ya. Get the shot or else.

I just found out that my son and his wife both had covid just before xmas. They were suppose to come and visit at that time but he called and said he could not get away because of work. He lied to me so we would not worry. He recovered quite quickly but not so his wife who has MS. She was in the hospital for a month ( $150,000+ bill) and she is still not fully recovered, if ever. Those of you who aren't getting the shot, I believe you are dead wrong, pun intended. I am not saying anything more. :(

I might be busted up, but I've got a strong immune system. I don't get colds or the flu. I'll take my chances and not get the covid vaccine.

I'm going to get the shot but talked to a covid nurse and saw online that the recommendation is to wait 90 days after recovering so I have another 30 days to go. They are reasonably sure that you will have immunity at least that long.

I go back to the VA Monday am, & get my 2nd Covid shot.
At my age & health, I couldn't afford not too. Everybody has the right to decide what's best for them. Hope all stay safe.

Anybody else have this experience?

I don't get sick much but anytime I was ill enough to see a doctor (fever, sore throat, bad cough) they always said the same thing; if it's bacterial they prescribe antibiotics and it usually works. If it's viral they always say you cannot treat that, it just has to run its' course.

hmmmm....

That's quite true. Usually just treat the symptoms until it runs it's course. Seems like this Covid virus got up on the wrong side of the
bed, and has no plans to leave without help.
At the ripe old age of 77, I've noticed that bugs aren't as afraid of me as they used to be, and are harder to get rid of.
Everybody could use a little help sometimes. :D

My wife is scheduled to get her second shot on Tuesday but the weather has delayed shipments for the folks getting their first this week. Haven’t heard anything yet but we expect her to get delayed. Just what this pandemic needed, a weather delay.

The covid shot still not readily available around here. Will wait a while as they may be adjusting the shot for the new mutations.

Agree with RR. I dont blame anyone who has some sort of a preexisting condition or health issue for wanting to get the shot. It seems to me that alot of people who have some sort of condition are more effected by this. I also know there are people with reactions to the shot and people who have still got covid after getting the shot. I wish your daughter in law well Wiz and I hope she fully recovers. I also totally respect your thoughts.

I'm about 2 weeks away from getting my second shot - Moderna. My wife and I got lucky and were able to get on the list early. I have a friend who is 75 and his wife is the same. They are on the county health department list and were told it will be at least 4 months before they can get their first shot. Somehow it doesn't appears Virginia is not handling this well.

Was supposed to get shot tomorrow morning but was canceled due to lack of vaccine. Rescheduled in 3 weeks but I am still checking out options. I did not get sick and am back working.

Even though we are ex-medical workers, the wife got us on the list on the 1st day, we weren't at head of the line. We were the 3rd or 4th round of vaccines. I do have COPD with over 25 yrs of foolishly smoking. We are getting our 2nd Moderna shot on March 9, 2021. I do wish this vaccine proves out. My son got his 2nd shot a couple of weeks ago and had some minor temperature and body aches for a day or two.He is 44 and a captain over State Police/Game Wardens. He is in top shape.

I go Mon. am to the VA & get my 2nd shot. At age 77 & type 2 diabetes, plus other ailments,I dare not do this. I had zero after effects after shot #1. No different than the gazillion shots the Army gave me before heading to 'Nam. At least I know the name of this one & what it's for. Had no issues with those either.
