Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Right now 34 headed for lows in the low 20's overnight. 2021 isn't starting off any better than 2020. Cooking some oats this morning.

27 when we got up this morning .... dark and dreary but not a cloud showing on the weather radar .... it appears we may well avoid any form of precip today ..
.. another hard freeze warning has been issued for tonight .... no plans to leave the campground today but do hope to get out a bit tomorrow ... regular breakfast has come and gone .... watching the 1939 movie "Stagecoach" which gave John Wayne's career a major boost .... for my money, its the best of the three movies by this name

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
8 degrees, and that's ABOVE ZEERO my friends. Wooo, Hooo. Overcast and light snow.
Supposed to be sunny and in the forties by Tuesday and that's my regular shooting day.
Folgers and chocolate chip cookies. Back to the old diet.
My front yard this morning is full of turkeys eating the corn I put out. About 30 or so.
I'll work in my shop today. Always 70 in there.
Had a nice long visit with an old Vietnam friend last night, a real shooter, and invited him
to join us. Hope he does.

27 this am, 4" new snow. Should be the end of the storm. I've had enough.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Currently 3 degrees but heading to 32 with some sun at times. Yesterday was sunny and I saw 37, man that felt good. Maybe another couple of inches of snow tonight.
So, I’m thinking the entire country except Florida is gearing up for a massive varmint hunt. The designated target is that rodent in Pennsylvania named Phil. Load em’ up boys, let’s go hunting.
Saw that next Monday we might see temps in the upper 40’s. Yippee!!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well freezing rain coming down hard but hopefully it will get to 33-34 degrees later this afternoon. Weatherman teasing again with a promise of 60 degree and sun by mid week. Going to call my range neighbor and get a report of any trees down around the place. They got hit hard by last week's ice storm and still a lot without power.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
34 out right now. No telling where the temp will be tonight but we have power just no water. Im sure they are working on it. Sure would hate to be those guys not use to these temps and trying to fix water pipe breaks. That would flat suck

That temp is outright balmy by our standards. The girls would all be in shorts and tank tops.

I spent one winter living near Grafton ND and anybody from there would be hardy. I was 15 and loved every minute of it.

Still a little snow left on the ground here. I saw a coyote run by and grabbed my cell phone and took this picture. Can you find Waldo?
This is a telephoto shot. The neighbors house is about 100 yards away. Yes that is junk sticking in the ground. Left over bed frame rails.

37 and rain. That damp cold that chills to the bone. A cozy 71 inside with the wood stove and why I have $50 electric bills in winter

It looks like Waldo is just to the left of the tree with the split trunk. I believe that’s his ears and the top of his head looking to the left. That’s still an impressive amount of snow remaining.Sir Henry wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 12:56 pmStill a little snow left on the ground here. Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
28 heading to 33 and overcast. Received 2-3” of additional white dirt last night, just enough that I will have to go outside and deal with it. Still doing my neighbors place plus another neighbor is out of town so been to his place twice this week and will return today. My other neighbor helps and between the two of us we can knock out the plowing pretty quickly.
Warm up coming next week.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well we dodged another ice storm bullet yesterday as in not as much ice and no power loss. Just cold rain this morning.
