Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Awoke to 14° this morning and ice patches on the road. Had to get out and buy water to make coffee. Finally found a Foodtown store open to get water. I got some more bacon and eggs while I was there. They were out of bread but had plenty of water and milk. My better half made eggs, bacon, cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well snowing again but at least this morning its 11° instead of the -8 it got to yesterday and it is supposed to gradually warm back up the next couple of days.. cold is trying on the cattle and the wildlife had deer by my front door in the afternoon digging up and eating the monkey grass at the edge of the flower beds. Glad its a short term deep freeze. Enjoy the day.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Got up early this morning as I was uncomfortable from yesterday's activities. I think there will be a mid-morning nap in the near future. The wife is still asleep so I'll wait for her to get up until I fix breakfast. I do have coffee on though. Warmer at 35° this morning but the weather is calling for freezing rain later. I'll be glad when all of this is over with.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
warmer this morning but far from nice .... temp right at freezing with rain falling, supposed to come down for a couple of more hours .... plenty of ice, thankfully can't see any sign of it collecting on and weighting down tree branches .... our aluminum deck and steps are really slick, no desire whatsoever to try and get down them right now .... another round of ice predicted to move through tonight .... regular breakfast of sausage, eggs and Folgers .... watching 1950 movie "The Breaking Point" with John Garfield and Patricia Neal

0 right now and cloudy. Should get to 8 above today with light snow. We'll take it.
Folgers and Granola for breakfast along with my last chocolate covered strawberry.
They predicting that by next Tuesday we'll break 40 degrees.
Going to do Red Lobster for lunch. Ash Wednesday so Carol wants fish.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
22 heading to maybe 34 if the sun peeks out this afternoon as suggested by the local weather guesser. Got an additional 2” of snow yesterday that the guesser said would be just a trace. Guess I’ll have to head out shortly and shovel that trace of snow off my driveway.
More snow Thursday night into Friday with maybe another couple of inches. This is our third February in a row where we have had more winter than spring conditions. Maybe 40 next week followed by another cold spell. Come on SPRING!

14 this am, W C 5. More snow on the way. I still say, Feb. should be removed from the calendar.

Make some smoke for me Cowboy. 34 here this am no rain but windy. Still breezy right now but the power is back on dont know for how long but its on now. Came on about 4pm. Got more propane today and Im full now. Made it all the way to 39 today but we have another round of freezing weather coming. Lots of dead fish on the beach. No water now as pipes have broken. Just another hurdle. I can deal with the water. Ive met a lot of great people and everyone here is helping each other out. I know a group of people who might be able to learn something from situations like this.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Warmer days coming. This dern snow will melt and life will be easier. I'm pleased. So I sup the morning coffee and smile. Appreciate when things do go well. We, ( or at least "l" ) notice when they don't for sure, .... so im trying to keep my pea brain fixed on the realization that lots of times things do go our way.... we can get in the mode of taking that for granted , and expecting that's how it's "supposed to be" .... it dont have to be.... im going to sup this coffee and think on how nice 50°+ is going to feel next week.... what a lucky dog I be.......
