It's 85* here in the house today so I treated myself to an early afternoon beer. Tastey and refreshing.

It's time for a vodka orange juice here. I'm just about to have one. Long day today followed by a long day today. I got some trigger time in. Look at the airgun section.

Yeah, I can get Yuengling here. As a matter of fact, I worked in Pottsville, Pa. for eleven years where it is made. I am not a big fan of the beer itself, but the Yuengling Amber Lager, both regular and the light is pretty good. It is big around here and most bars have it on tap. But now, I am drinking Rolling Rock.

Since Anheuser Busch bought them out a lot of folks say that it is not the same. In the can, I do not like it, but in the bottle, to me anyway, it tastes pretty much like it did back in the 60's when I first drank it. It still has that very pale aftertaste. I only drink it in the 7oz. Pony bottles. Three eight packs in a case for $16.00 around here. They are easy to store in the cabinet or the fridge, and as I have aged, 7oz. of beer is just right for me if I am having one in the evening while watching TV.

I just finished polishing the Brass on my Big Boy with Flitz and coating the entire rifle with Renaissance Wax. It looks like a piece of art; which, of course, it is.

A deep fried dinner of fresh, Atlantic shrimp along with local corn on the cob is nearly prepared and a glass or two of Chardonnay is on the menu.

A bit of rain is in the forecast for tonight. It's about time.

Easy weekend. Made it to the range today in 100 degree weather. Well worth it though for a few rounds with the Henry Big Boy Steel. I'm going to post a mini range report elsewhere.

Hot day here, about 90F. Scorching hot at the range. Always good to put some lead through the Henry. Cooled off tonight, and then in the 60's all week. Having evening tea in the Henry mug, and then call it a day. Up in the forestry reserve checking cows later this week. Won't be long until fall gathers start. Lots of grizzly activity this year, there's a healthy population of them out there.

Keep an eye on those grizzly's. Remind them what a .45LC will do if you have to.

I'm going to have a whiskey and go to bed. A long and productive day.

Good day today, nice weather, low humidity. Watched the Little League World Series from South Williamsport, Pa. Those kids are really fun to watch. The games go on all week on ESPN and the championship game is Sunday. Took Winnie for a nice long walk and now I am having a beer and watching the Yankees and the Mariners from Seattle.
