You said she likes them rare, yet she put them in the oven and over cooked them....hmm.
She said they were raw inside. Her mistake.
Well, next time I hope you find a happy 'MEDIUM'.. :D

For brunch we're having biscuits and gravy using Old Folks Sausage and scrambled eggs. :D

This evening it will be oysters on the half shell with garlic butter, jalapeno, and cheese. :D

There is a seafood outfit from Galveston that comes here with truckloads of seafood every couple of weeks until Winter sets it.
We buy them fresh and then freeze them. I used to do that when I lived on the east coast and they rethaw surprisingly well.
Carol went to a seafood outfit in Dickenson, Tx., (one our favorite places to stay), and they told her to go out to the shell pile and
take all she wanted as all their oysters were shucked. She brought a dozen nice shells home and reuses them.

Not fresh, but tastes pretty darn good anyway. :D

We both love steamed oysters, but we need them fresh for that.

Country fried steak , w/ gravy, Bushs grilling beans, mustard potato salad. Pretty good.

Here you go. Oysters on the half shell broiled with garlic butter, cheese, and a little jalapeno. :D

They were excellent.

The last time we were there was also March of 2019. Better be careful, you could meet shady characters there.

Tonight it will be Italian Sausage with sautéed peppers and onions in a marinara sauce over noodles,
but here's who we're having as dinner guests. With the Winter being so severe I am putting out some bird
seed for our feathered friends, but these guys are showing up every day. Just a bit ago out front of the
house we had three deer and four turkeys, until a client of Carol's drove in. Even then they waited for them
to get into the yard before they reluctantly left.

They're already back. :D

WIth only generator power, we are making do with a lot of frozen leftovers. Tonight my wife broke out a good size slice of leftover lasagna. We ran an extension cord for the microwave and nuked the lasagna. Then I made some garlic bread on the flattop on our gas range. Very good dinner.

Last night the wife made a big pot of chicken and dumplings. Sure was good. Tonight we will repeat. So far we haven't lost power. Northwest of here , they lost power. Haven't heard for how long. Ready for spring.
