Dang Al, that's terrible!
Brings back memories of a Valentine's Day about five or so years ago.
Carol's garage door opener had quit, so I purchased a new one and on Valentine's Day, which was also a Sunday,
and the Daytona 500, I decided to install it that morning for her.
Well the center bearing for the door spring wasn't installed quite right. They just drove lag screws in with out
pre drilling into the header block. As I was installing the end of the track right over that bearing it broke out of
the block and started spinning releasing all that torsion spring tension. Got both of my hands lacerated.
Well anyway, Carol drove me to the Emergency Room where a pretty young lady took down all the info,
another pretty young lady washed the blood off my hands, a nice looking nurse injected some pain killer, and then a
nice looking female Doctor came in to stich them up.
Wow! All this female attention for little old me. I was actually enjoying it. How could it get better I wondered.
So I asked if they could get the 500 on that little TV in the room, and they did.
Then I blew it and asked for a beer.
True story. I'm one of those folks who tries to find humor in everything.
Hang in there Al. Life's a bitch. Don't let the bastards win.
