nice find
I think I had mentioned in a previous post that I was looking through my ammo supply and only had 2 boxes of .357 and had thought I had more. Was just looking for a DVD on the bottom shelf of my computer desk and had forgotten I put a ammo box there to keep my cats out of the wiring, opened it and found 6 boxes of .357.
Now I'll be able to go shoot my Henry and Blackhawk (although I'll probably stick with mostly 9mm in the Blackhawk).

Re: nice find
Glad you found them Dave. Hiding things from yourself is a serious issue. Ever wonder how much time we spend in our life looking for something we don’t remember were we put it.

Christmas in February, what’s better than that?
These days that’s almost like finding a couple of gold bars.

Re: nice find
I have an old French 32 acp that was my dads and when my brother gave it to me it came with a box of very old ammo. About a year ago I was in a shop doing a transfer on a shotgun. When I do a transfer I always try to buy something from the dealer to support the time and effort of doing a transfer. So I bought a box of 32 acp for that pistol. Fast forward to about a month ago a local guy had a box of 32 for sale pretty cheap so I bought it. Went to put it with the first box I bought and it was nowhere to be found. So I’m trying to pull hair out of my bald head looking for that box of ammo. I spent a little bit of time for a couple of days looking for it including under the seat of my car. Only later to find it exactly where it belongs but it had been covered by another box of ammo that fell on it. I have since reorganized my ammo storage to prevent that from happening.
Re: nice find
Always great to find hidden treasurers. Now you can burn some of that ammo up. I'm always putting things like that in a safe place so I won't loose it. Then I can't find it when I need it.

I don't know if it is a guy thing although my sister tells me it is. I tend to do the same thing. After replacing the item can't find I have thought perhaps I will find the original when I put the new item where I think it should go. Never works for me.
Re: nice find
Actually found some of the same ammo in stock online $70 a box so with tax and shipping that small ammo can is now worth $475. I think I paid $22 a box on sale at BiMart.
At least there's some available at a somewhat non-gouging price. A place that had some in stock a while back wanted $200 a box. Hopefully it's a sign that the ammo shortage may be easing up some.

Sometimes I set something down and have a hard time finding it 5 minutes later.
