I called the police on one woman when she kept showing up unannounced after she dumped me. She wanted another try and I didn’t. I haven’t seen her in almost a year so she got the message.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 6:24 pmLet me repeat, meet on neutral ground and never never give them your address.
I had one that found out where I lived and would just show up unannounced, (that is until my dog bit her).
"Good dog, here's a treat."
I had another one walk through wet cement to get to my front door, (uninvited I might add), and then bitched that
her high heels had cement on them. Of course that fact that we had t o retrowel her tracks out of the cement
and not entertain her set her off as well.
She was invited to not return.
I had another that would send secret little romantic cards without her name. (A secret pal). I never did find out
who she was. And one more that left letters in my mail box.
Just casual dates, unless you really want to get serious, are fun. You can always get a room.
Always remember, there is always a hitch. Nothing comes for free my friend.
This from 17 years of experience.![]()
PS, I did have a lot of fun over those years.

During my rodeo days I recall one night I was trying to get some sleep in a motel, and these 2 women kept banging on my door over and over...finally I just couldn't stand it anymore so I got up and let them out.

Miss Tina laughs when I tell her that if she goes first I'm not going to date.
She said, "You are straight, own a home, have a steady retirement income... When I croak, if there is a notice in the paper... There will be a line of old biddies at the door with casseroles in their best dress."

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Re: Dating During a Pandemic
Sorry about the situation. I am not sure how I would handle it. I like to think that I would try and do things that may help others. But, I would probably think about a female companion as well. The older I get the more that I come to believe that God knows best. I am not trying to talk about religion. I just hope that I would wait and see how things work. Because, God knows what I stand in need of, before I ask. Yet, my dad always told me that you can't win a race if you are not in it. So, I would probably do something. Hopefully, it would be what God have me to do.

Re: Dating During a Pandemic
All of the single women that I meet that had a successful marriage are not looking for a man. They tend to hang out with other single women. I don’t mind hanging out with guys but I prefer a wiggle in the walk and a giggle in the talk.
Only the women that needs financial assistance are interested in me. I don’t mind spending a wad of cash on a date but I’m not going to make their mortgage payment.
What I really want is someone my age for an activity partner, someone that likes to hike, someone to go on day trips. It doesn’t need to be romantic.

Re: Dating During a Pandemic
They are out there but they are hard to find. I said I would never marry another women that just needed a husband.
I wanted a Wife that could get along on her own, and I found one. Well, I didn't actually find her, she was suggested
to me and I took the advice. Glad I did.
Now one of my own goals was the learn to live alone and be happy, and I did that too.
One thing I learned is that you seldom find women like that in a bar.

My sister complained that she never met decent guys.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 10:59 am

Several of my buddies complained they never met decent women.
Other friends and family had the same complaint.
They never "hook up" with the right type of people.
See above.
I told them they were "Fishing" the wrong waters.
* Volunteer with a group you believe in.
* Pursue hobbies you enjoy, and go to clubs that support them: biking, kayaking, woodworking, collecting, shooting....
* Take classes to improve yourself, or open your horizons.. Learn sign language, cooking, a new skill.
* Teach classes with skills you can share. Fly tying, casting, shooting, woodworking, photography, self defense, cooking, painting...
All these things can lead to meeting the right kind of people with common interests.

Re: Dating During a Pandemic
I agree and when I was hiking I met lots of available women. At the time I needed to mourn and wasn’t interested. Now that it’s been four years I’m ready to move on. The real problem now is Covid19 has closed almost all of my avenues to meet people. The walking and hiking groups have all shut down. The YMCA bus holds 15 people and 12 would be women. Good odds! I wanted to take a cooking class and they are shut down. Book clubs all shut down.BrokenolMarine wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 1:11 pmMy sister complained that she never met decent guys.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 10:59 am

It's a real shame, the strain this Covid thing has put on ALL of us.
Especially at the age of most of us when our days are much more numbered.

My thought, tomorrow is not promised. Live each day to its fullest. At least when I am gone, I shouldn't have many (if any) regrets. And, I should be happy along the way.
