Super Bowl

Post by rugrat » Fri Feb 05, 2021 7:23 pm

With the super bowl comming this Sunday, who is your favorite pick to win if you enjoy nfl football? I am hoping for a back to back win for the Chiefs.

I'm going with the Chiefs also. Love Andy Reid, Mahomes, Hill, Kelce........, well, you get the idea. Actually a Dallas fan, but nothing to see there, maybe someday when we get a new owner..........
Frankly, tired of hearing about Brady.

I agree! Have had my fill of Tom Brady. After all, the Bucs did not start off very strong, and some of their wins were vere marginal.
It would not surprise me at all if the Chiefs blew them away completely.
Of course, they might let Brady ride away into the sunset as they did Payton Manning against the Panthers. Yes, I'm partial...however, I'll be pulling for KC!!!

Being a geriatric and a New Englander I am rooting for the goat! Let's not forget that except for an improbable miracle catch and one no catch by Edelman, TB would have 2 more SB rings. Those 2 plays changed the outcome of the 2 Giants wins. We shall see.
Or....

If my stupid Seattle Seahawks would have just let Marshawn run from the 1 yard line instead of passing Brady would have one less.

Still not over it. :(

I have sworn off football lately due to their antics, but I did watch the playoffs and I will watch the
Super Bowl. I should be a good game, but there are usually commercials that are very entertaining.
I don't have a favorite, but Brady is something of a legend.

Couldnt agree more about there antics Coop. I havent watched one game all season. I just dont get the kneeling on the field to make a statement. Theres alot of men who have made a statement by defending that flag. What do you think it does to there attitudes when they see that. Why not make a statement in the community or at a local law enforcement office to improve things.

Because it wouldn't be on national TV. That's all they want, attention.

They got that for sure all negative Im not the only one who has bailed because of it. Oh and dont look for many fancy commercials either as many companies have bailed on that also.

Here's my take. I like the game of football. High school, college, pro.
As some have said, I hate the politics that have been allowed in.
That said, I still watch the "game only", mute or turn off the anthem, which isn't shown much anymore. The National Anthem
has turned into an audition, rather than using it's written & intended.
It is a disgrace how sports has been taken over by PC crap.
I'm about as patriotic as you will find, and this makes my butt want a dip of snuff.

I love the sound of bones breaking and like hearing the words “career ending injuries“ in the NFL. They are gladiators. Nothing more, nothing less. I also like boxing for the same reasons.

It’s hard to feel sorry for someone making more money in one game than I’ve made in my entire lifetime and then watch them take a knee.

So yes I will watch the Super Bowl.

No need to wander off into the political lane, fellers. The OP asked for predictions, so I'll nudge it back thataway.

It's easy to predict a Chiefs win from here in KC, so I'll stick with that story. Some say the Kid will school the GOAT, but you never know with Brady.

Unlike many of their games during this season, I'm gonna pick the Chiefs to win AND cover the spread.

In my 72 years on this earth I can honestly say I have never watched a foot ball game. Don't plan on ever watching one. I prefer to watch winter biathlon skiing and shooting rifles if watching sports.

KC is pretty complete but I will be rooting for Tom Brady, he is the best quarterback to ever play the game.

Without getting political, I am not watching it, but while channel surfing I may hesitate on it a bit. But as little as it means to me, I'd rather see KC win it.
