Sitting in the dark, no heat, area wide power outage. Fog froze to power lines and they get to heavy and they snap. Went to start generator and it won’t start. Gotta message from emergency management, said that this may last a few days because of the frost on lines and winds are to increase tomorrow. Got an Alberta Clipper moving in. Highs to be sub zero this weekend. I think I’ll have an Irish and go try to start generator again, so skol!
Wishing you good luck brm.God speed!!

I hope you got the genset running. You could have kept that weather for yourself. It's here now.
Our power is all underground so hopefully we won't lose power, but I do have a genset if we do.

Never did get generator running but power was restored thankfully. But did get a message that high winds and cold temperatures next 3 days could cause more outages. I’m taking generator to get repaired! Thanks everybody for concern, skol!

Well, took the Wife to the clinic in town for her annual check up early this afternoon. Lots of vehicles in the ditch with
blowing snow and unplowed highways. Now the sun is out and the temp is dropping quickly. It will be zero tonight.
Plowed snow all afternoon, worked in the ship for a bit, and now I'm in the house settling down.
What's that old song, "Well, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful".
Think I'll change into my sweats and have a bit of Maker's Mark before dinner. :D

Things are still quite the mess in the home. The bathroom is almost looking like a bathroom again. New commode, paint, and finish the tile work tomorrow. The kitchen cabinets got painted and the walls got painted. New countertops and backsplash go up Monday. Drinking some Black Eagle bourbon.

Got 10 day quarantine from work due to Covid exposure. The wife of the guy I work with in the clean room got sick but he kept coming into work until she got her positive test result Tuesday afternoon. He then reported the positive result and they gave him 10 days off. He called today to report his own positive result and now I have to stay out until the 15th. Not very happy with him right now, but physically I feel fine.
I may have an Irish coffee myself as it is 12 degrees right now. Tractor broke the drive belt for the snow blower this afternoon and have a new one coming to the Napa store in the morning with luck.

Mark, I am glad that you were able to ride on out your Ripple on tour wave of romance. Sometimes you have to have some space to sort out what is truly important in life. Hope you can fine tune the static. BTDT and got the T-shirt.

Big Congratulations on 43 years!
I was married for 20 years but that ended back in 1996. Have been with Carol now for 22 years un-married. Just like Marriage at this point though.
The best part is; ( some here already know ), we live right next to each other...literally. Thank goodness, when things go south, I have my ' Man House ' instead of a 'Man Cave'. Having our own space is probably the only reason we have stayed together for 22 years.
You ARE right...Not all skittles and beer!

Alright back on track, stopped by the Red Dog on my way home, (My favorite bar)
Had a big ole burger and two B&T's, now at home holding this recliner down.
Gonna pop a top on another, and see what kinda BS I can find on the WWW.
May see if I can get a piece or two of this puzzle while I'm at it.
