Our Morning Coffee and Weather

24 and overcast. Haven't seen much of the sun recently. More of the same tomorrow.
Folgers, a boiled egg, and cookies for breakfast.
So I mentioned that we'd never been to Chic-Filet previously, so we went today. had the fried chicken fingers
with buffalo sauce. OK, but nothing great. I was expecting something more flavorful. I like Cracker Barrel's
fried chicken better, and even KFC, but my favorite is still Pizza Ranch's fried chicken. Unfortunately our Pizza
Ranch has not reopened after the last shut down and I am afraid they are gone.

Not that I wouldn't try Chic-Filet again, but only if nothing else is available.

Man if you can do KFC Coop you are one tough ombre. Every time I eat KFC in need about 40 tums to pass that grease fill yardbird. It was 57 here this am when we got up on the Gulf and made it to 64 today under sunny but windy conditions. Sausage Eggs hashbrowns and some fresh sourdough toast started the day.

A couple of warm days ahead then cold like REAL winter this Sunday they say.... oh well... the warm was nice while it lasted... hopefully the cold won't stay too long... bundle up and trudge on....

Continuing snow showers and high upper 30's today. Next week for around here will be lucky to see 32 for a high! Have to get Buster a sand box with a small tree or bush in it!

24 this morning with overcast skies. Supposed to get near 32 today and higher
tomorrow. Then Thursday comes the cold air out of Canada and by Sunday the
high may not even reach zero.

Come on Canada, keep your cold air up there if you would please.

53 ° this morning. Had to get breakfast tacos from the local taqueria this morning. The contractors announced yesterday they were starting on the kitchen. They're doing good work but seem to have an agenda that let's us know what they're doing when they show up. No kitchen area for about a week they say.

Currently 37 balmy degrees heading into the 40’s with clouds and very gusty winds for today. Glad I decided to wait until tomorrow to go to the range.

After today it’s supposed to be dry with some sun breaks, not too bad for early February.

Might start on the income taxes today, pretty simple for us, haven’t gone long form in years.

glad indeed .. .. 40 right now where we are near Willis, TX .... headed today to 65 later today with no rain in sight .... a cooling trend is on tap for later in the week but (thankfully) not on par with what they are calling for back home .... a regular breakfast has come and gone .... supply run for groceries on tap for later today .... watching the 1956 movie "The Conqueror" with John Wayne and Susan Hayward

My wife and I are watching a show on Amazon Prime called The Killing. It’s based in Seattle in October and every episode has lots of heavy rain falling with some dry/sunny breaks. I told my wife that I didn’t think Seattle’s rain was as bad as depicted but after your report I’m starting to think that I don’t know “stuff”. Seems like most of my trips over there are more on the dry sunny side than rainy. But that’s usually in the summer. Fingers crossed for some dry weather for you.

We normally don’t get this much rain although it’s usually raining this time of year. A typical January day might be a small fraction of an inch yet it will rain 29 of the 31 days.

Summers on the other hand are wonderful. Seattle gets less rain in August than Phoenix.

First fire in the stove in several days, it’s been pretty warm lately.

Enjoying my Folgers right now but my stomach is starting to suggest some breakfast is in order.
