Changed out the dies, shell plate and adjusted to powder drop on my Hornady LNL progressive. I keep this press set fo large primer cartridges, so I went from 45 ACP to 45 Colt. Getting ready to crank out some new 45 Colt loads.

What's the load? Might be doing the same tomorrow while it rains.

I'm planning to do some test loads with Universal. I using the Missouri coated 250 gr. RNFP bullet and will put together some 7.0, 7.2 and 7.4 gr. rounds. I want to see which shoot the best in both my Marlin 1894 and New Model Blackhawk.

I'm also thinking of ordering some 200 gr coated RNFP bullets for a future load test.

I found a RCBS Universal decapper for 22-25 calibers today, I have one for the larger calibers.
Brought home and set it up and deprimed somewhere between 500-600 223's.
I will start the cleaning tomorrow.

Well, cloudy a gloomy day here.
I loaded 50 of the 223's, do a little test.
25 were 25.5 grs of CFE223 and the other 25 were 25.0 grs of LVR with a 62 gr sp.
Will try in the AR first chance I get.

De-capped, polished, sized and trimmed 100 pieces of .223 brass. Tomorrow I’ll prime them all and load some to do some ladder testing using Varget and the Sierra .224 69gr Matchking bullet. This is for the Ruger Gunsite I picked up a few days ago. Also I have another 100 pieces sized and primed that I will be using the same components for a load in my Mini 14.

Got my laddered loads for the Mini and the Ruger Gunsite (both 5.56/223) done this morning. I’m heading to the range on Wed to shoot them for group then I’m ready to load up 100 of each. I usually like to shoot five shot groups but I’m conserving bullets. :(

Test, but, conserve. Even if you have plenty of components on hand, wise to conserve nowadays. Good call Hatch. Heading to the shop and load those .45 Colts I mentioned last week. Comfortable in the shop right now, time to make a move!
