T'was 57° this morning about 6:30 or so when I got up to walk the dogs. Just had some cereal, banana, and coffee this morning. Workers breaking concrete in the floor of the bathroom to move plumbing for the new shower to be installed. It's always something new with contractors. They are getting to know me very well at Home Depot.

If they use a concrete saw Jake, make sure it's a wet saw. They did that in my house with a dry saw and filled the house and heating system with dust. Took years to get it out.

Temp here today in the Smokies was in the upper 60s. Supposed to let the bottom fall out tonite, tomorrow. maybe some snow &
ice on the mountain.
I wanted to go across to Cherokee, but the road may be closed.
We"ll see how it goes.
Went thru Cades Cove today, really love that place..

It's a cold day in CT. The backyard temperature is 27° and it will only rise a few degrees into the low thirties by this afternoon under a mix of cloudy and sunny skies.

Sausage and eggs once again on tap for breakfast. Curbside grocery pickup scheduled today.

15 this morning with a high in the low 20s expected.
Maybe some sunshine later. Snow expected by the week end.
Folgers and Old Folks Sausage and eggs for breakfast.
Plans today include opening up old juke box and adjusting volume.
Volume is too high and about to drive me out of my cave.

30 heading to maybe the upper 30’s. Got 2” of snow yesterday so just a little bit of light shoveling/blowing around my place. Went down to my 86 year old neighbor and plowed his paved area between his house and shop. 86 and every time I go down there to plow he’s out with his shovel assisting with the tight areas. Hope I’m as healthy as he is when I’m 86. It’s pretty enjoyable to go down there, I have to compete with a couple of other neighbors to get to do the plowing.

Not a clue what I’m going to do today but tomorrow my gun budget opens up again and I get to pick up my Ruger Gunsite Rifle I have on layaway at the LGS. Wahoo, I’ll be working up a load for it and sending some lead and copper down range probably next week.

Got my wife an appointment for Saturday to get her Covid shot which was a minor miracle in itself. Took us 45 minutes online to get it set up and shortly after we got in the entire site crashed. Over 60,000 hits for 3000 shots available. Then while watching the local news at 5 there is my brother being interviewed at the vaccination site. That was pretty cool.

Carol absolutely refused to get the shot. She's read all the stuff online and is afraid of it. I told her we won't
be going south unless she gets it to no avail. Stubborn woman.

6F this morning. I adjusted the hair trigger on my BP rifle last night. Not quite so hair trigger now when I set the rear one. Much better. Will try it on Saturday. Might get to temps in 20’s by then.

we awoke to a call from a very excited 4 year old grandson .... he had to tell us all about a light snow that they had back home last night .... he's seen snow before but was to young to remember it .... this morning we were greeted by a coooool 39 degrees on its way to 60 later today .... regular breakfast has come and gone .... watching Alan Lad and Virginia Mayo in the 1952 movie, The Iron Mistress
