I have ordered the Silverado stock cover from https://gunstockcover.com/ It cost $95 with free ship by USPS. The cover is available with or without cartridge loops. I ordered the one with the "stich" option. This is leather lace stitching in place of the cartridge loops. My sling setup has a cartridge pad for 10 rounds so I don't need the loops on the cover. I also ordered the left hand version. Each cover is made to order so it takes a little time. Right now his site says about two months but, on the phone, he said the wait was about one month right now.

I will be ordering a couple of WWII military style leather slings on Monday. The order will also include a couple swivels for wood and a 22 rimfire tube. They aren’t very expensive and good to have around.

Jon's stuff is top notch, you will love it. I have 2 of his. One on my Henry and one on the High Wall. I am talking to him about a simple rough out leather one for the black powder rifle too.

"Slings, butt cuffs and lever wraps" Sounds kinky! :o

Though, I could see dressing up my BB with those at some point.

I have a Diamond D set on order, just waiting for them to come in. Getting both the cuff and sling.

There are some good looking options on Etsy. I found Wasatch Leather there out of Utah. Super happy with my sling and I imagine if you called them they would make whatever you want.

I received the butt cover from gunstockcover.com and it fits perfectly and looks very good. This is the left hand version so the lacing is on the left hand side of the stock. It is also comfortable on my cheek.

I went for the lacing on the butt cover instead of cartridge loops as I have 10 cartridge loops on the sling.

Has anyone found a cuff with a cheek riser that they like and fits a BigBoy? I'm looking at something like the ones pictured, with or without the ammo loops. I just mounted a scope to my 357 and found I need another inch of height on the stock for a good cheek weld. I'm not against making one as I have some heavy duty sewing machines that can handle leather or heavy cordura, Just curious if anyone found a great one that grips tight and doesn't abrade the wood finish.

Take care,
Tom

I still think this sounds like a bdsm thread. Just saying. Lol

Tom,

I use that exact riser ( the nylon one) and it’s the perfect height to align my eye with the scope on my Big Boy 357. I have only used it once so far and don’t leave it on my rifle. I keep it in my range bag and only put it on when shooting from a bench. I find that when I sight my rifle from a standing position my eye aligns with the scope without the riser. Can’t speak to it abrading the stock, not enough use yet but that’s why I don’t leave it on the stock while not using the rifle.

Just ordered a no drill sling from Brass Stacker. They appear to be very nice, and I hope to have mine next week.

I received the "Ace of Spades" butt cover for my .357 Mag X-Model from Gunstockcover.com. I previously posted (page 3 of this thread) the "Silverado" butt cover in left hand for my CCH .357 Mag carbine. This one I ordered the cartridge loops. The "Ace of Spades" is a black cover that goes very well with the composite stock of the X-Model. See the photos.

Now that the sun has come out (finally) I have better photos of the "Ace of Spades" I received from Gunstockcovers.com and that I installed on my .357 X-Model.
