The Volleyball Star (video)

OK, so I know I have bragged on my grandson once or twice here on the forum. He is a talented young man, shooting skills are getting honed, pays attention in school, etc.

Well, as it turns out, he is quite an athlete. His #1 game turns out to be Volleyball of all things. Me, I was a grid iron guy in HS and College, but he has taken to Volleyball. I never thought much of the game, but he has turned me around.

Click on the link below and you will see why. This is an NCAA Mens Volleyball Championship between Yale and North Carolina. My grandson has excelled to Team Captain for Yale and you can easily recognize him wearing the dark blue #2 jersey on the right side of the screen.

North Carolina is up by one point, and you can see why my grandson was Team Captain and pulled off the win. You will hear the commentators talking about his talent, his name is Scott Sterling.

I am so proud, the lad knows how to use his head !

Congrats on a well played game. I bet hitting that floor is a bit tough compared to sand!

Funny. Almost thought it was real until his team members picked him up and blocked the ball again with his face, then I watched the soccer game. I especially liked it when they put him in the chair.

I am sure that most here would choose, football (other then goin' out shootin') as their fave sport, but volleyball is more fun and I will tell you why...
Who wants to sit around watchin' a bunch a fat old men in spandex bumpin' into each other with very little action (timewise) goin' on between plays?

I would rather watch Women's Beach Volleyball...for all the obvious reasons!
