Dang, I love collard greens! Yummy. Tonight, baked chicken covered in Italian breading, mashed 'taters and green beans. I'm lazy tonight, probably hit the sack early. Why not!?

last night we decided to do something we seldom do .... that being order a Pizza .... while camped on Lake Conroe last year we ordered one from "Pizza Shack" in Willis and it was fine .... so, we ordered from them .... the Pizza we picked up looked great and smelled even better ... BUT it had no taste .... saying it was bland would be an understatement .... at $22 for a Pizza, we won't be ordering from them again

Since I had a Whopper w/ cheese, no pickle, late lunch, I had a salad, and some grits later.
BTW, I really can't stand greens, LOL.

Have never had grits, think it's more of a southern dish, wouldn't mind trying some properly cooked. Everything else sounds great although sausage, hashbrowns and biscuits aren't on my Doctors' suggested diet for me.

Last night I made my pizza poorboys. There used to be a local pizza shop that made these and they were wonderful. And better than mine of course. Sadly they went out of business many years ago. Simple to make, spread some pizza sauce on a roll, cover with cheese and whatever toppings you like, pepperoni for me and bake open top at 350 for 20 -25 minutes. Let cool slightly and eat either open face or as a sandwich. Mmmmmm

Wife's picking up pizza on the way home from work. She's tired as my sister-in-law kept her up most of the night last night with catheter issues.

this morning we had company come by for breakfast .... my wife went all out and we ended up with a bunch of leftovers .... so, breakfast for supper tonight .... scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, sausage, sliced tomatoes, biscuits and gravy .... already looking forward to tomorrow morning

I am impressed with all of the culinary expertise here. You could start a brand new blog.

Me, well I am a simple man. We had 1 1/2 inch Rib Eye steaks BBQ at medium rare, sweet corn on the cob, twice baked potatoes, Buttermilk Biscuits, and Pecan Pie for desert.

Sorry, I was too busy eating to take pictures. Oh, and capped it all off with a tumbler of Jameson's Black Barrel !

Last week I made a batch of my Chili that I love. Been making it for years and I like it hot.
I think I mentioned it in a previous post.
Well anyway, for some reason I couldn't taste or smell really good that day and kept pestering Carol to
check it for me to see if I had enough spice in it. Boy did I.
Had two bowls of it last night along with corn chips and we were both sweating by the time we were done.
That's hot enough by gosh.
Course we like it that way.
