Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
32 this am, on the way to 50, maybe. Getting the tires rotated & balanced on the F-150 this am.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Morning, 30° over here on this side of the river Grunt.
It says 52°this afternoon, and looks like a lot of sunshine.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
29 screaming up to 36 before day’s end. Might see some sun today, yesterday it was a no show.
Big day planned, didn’t start a fire today so I can clean out the stove. Party on hatchdog!!!
The parcel next door recently sold and yesterday there was a guy with a mini-excavator and a skid steer starting to clear the building site. Looks like that where the house will be built will allow us to maintain our privacy somewhat. Knew it was going to sell eventually and the new folks are placing the house in the exact location we had hoped for. Should be no line of sight between their house and ours. If it stays quiet over there today I plan to sneak over and be a nosy neighbor.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I understand what you mean. I have neighbors on two sides but in the Summer you can't see their houses at all. Right now in the Winter I can see three houses but they're still a distance off through the woods. Our lake is classified as "Primitive", and there are few boats on the lake as there is no public launch.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 10:27 amThe parcel next door recently sold and yesterday there was a guy with a mini-excavator and a skid steer starting to clear the building site. Got the tires rotated & balanced on the F-150, plus a new tire pressure sensor on the LF wheel. That little gem cost me $71.
Got home & removed the 9500lb winch on the truck. That is something I would not want to do every day. Used up about all the cuss words I'd saved up for such an occasion.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 20° in the backyard when I rolled out of be this morning. It will be a chilly day in CT; only about 40°; but we will enjoy bright sunshine all day. The ski slopes will be making lots of snow over the next several days. Thankfully, Mother Nature hasn't delivered very much of it.
The first cup of tea is gone. Breakfast in about half an hour -- usual egg over easy and sausage.
Enjoy your day. Be careful out there.

Rain in the parched Sonoran desert; much needed, but it messes up my morning hike.

Warm 63° this morning at around 6:00 a.m. when I got up to walk the dogs. It's supposed to be in the low 70's today with a slight chance of rain.

We're not too far apart Larry, so about the same here. No wind IS unusual these days given the way it's been up to now.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Winter’s back.
18 heading to the low 30’s but should see the sun today. Heavy frost and as the sun crested the horizon the light took on a pinkish twinge that combined with the frost was very striking.
Since we are getting a new neighbor building beside us and the orientation of their house to the back of ours is in line we are making a trip to Home Depot to look at window coverings today. Hooray window cover shopping, one of the highlights of my year.
The new house will be probably 500 - 600 feet away but we have large windows in the back and until now haven’t had the need to close the existing blinds. My wife wants a different style of blind that will offer privacy but still allow light in???????? Still lots of trees between the houses but if somebody is wandering around back there they could be in line of sight. We knew this day was coming.........
