What's for supper?

Cut up top sirloin with cut up potatoes mixed with gravy in a crock pot. Biscuits on the side. Not much appetite left after watching the train wreck of the Seattle Seahawks. Oh well, football is now dead to me for the rest of the year. Dinner was great.

The Seahawks were more like see chickens.

The Ram's defense pretty much shut them down, sacked Wilson five times and hit him 10 times. I'll watch the Superbowl but none of the rest of the playoffs.

Normally I would watch all of the playoffs however with Covid19 I don’t want to go to the neighbors house to watch them all. In years past his shop was a hangout.

I’m throwing chicken on the grill in a few minutes.

Sorry,; don't follow college BB. Hope you at least got one of your two?

A decisive win, they scored 116. But gave up 88 to a mediocre team. With 10 minutes left the coach pulled the starters and the back ups gave up a big run of 3’s from Portland. Coach had to put the starters back in. Coach Mark Few is the type of coach who only wants the win doesn’t care about the line or the spread at the end of the game. Zags have been ranked #1 since before the season started.

Several weeks ago I smoked a brisket and made the mistake of buying an entire brisket. Came out perfectly but was way too big for the two of us to eat in a reasonable time. So I froze half of it and pulled the remaining half out of the freezer yesterday. Got some cracked wheat sourdough bread from the local grocer so tonight we are going to have smoked brisket sandwiches. This was the brisket when I first smoked it.

I think I got this ready to eat. I love the experimental aspect of cooking.

I spent most of the day smoking some Baby Back Ribs .... yes I know the professionals prefer a "tug" when you bite and pull meat off the bone .... our preference is fall off the bone .... these were mighty good to us .... the rub was our homemade SPG

without fear of overstating it, they were dang good .... I'm still learning how to use our Traveler; as well as, our SPG seasoning .... this time the Traveler was set on 250 degrees .... we have another rack to smoke in a couple of days .... I'm a firm advocate of slow cooking and intend to lower the cooking temp to 225 degrees .... they will be seasoned in the same manner and it will be interesting to see if there is any difference

We had what we call "spaghetti red" for supper last night. That's pasta with chili instead of a pesto or marinara sauce. That was common for us growing up in SW Missouri.
