37° and it looks like rain. 1st cup of joe is down, and waiting on the cook to make breakfast. Not much planned today except a trip to the hardware store. Cheers all

30 degrees with a frost heavy enough to be called a baby snow .... supposed to get up to 51 later today and a good possibility of rain moving through .... baby sitting grandchildren on tap for this morning .... hope to get some reloading done while over there .... back to local sausage, eggs and Folgers

Cold and frosty this morning. Got back from a Buster walk and heading to the range this afternoon for a bullet test. Saw some nice fresh deer tracks along our walk and last good day before year ending rains come thru. We don't need anymore rain!!

26 heading to 30 with snow falling. Supposed to get 5-10” but generally these forecasts are on the high side. Supposed to snow all day so plowing will wait until tomorrow. Nothing planned so I may just stay in and feed the fire. Enjoying my coffee now but it’s breakfast time, what to have?

Warm 65° at 7 this a.m. Supposed to have a cold front move through bringing thunderstorms and cooler weather for the next few days. One forecaster thinks it will stall out just north and west of us. I guess time will prove who's right/wrong. Made eggs, bacon, English muffins and coffee for everyone this morning. Not sure what I'll do with the rest of the day.

The morning started in Dumas Tx at 33 degrees with a heavy fog and dew. We fought that until happiness is Lubbock Texas in your rear view mirror. Then the wind took over. It was a heavy crosswind and very annoying. Made it to Junction Tx and its 75 here all is well

There used to be a diner on the outskirts of town that had what they called the Junction Burger. Get ya some Al.

Thanks Moetur we were only there for one night and left early this am. We have now made to our destination on Gulf waters ERV park where we are totally impressed.

on the last morning of 2020, we awoke to rain and 41 degrees .... somehow it seems to be a fitting end to this year .... the forecast is calling for steady rain most of the time between now and sometime tomorrow .... that should put something of a damper on fireworks tonight .... eggs seasoned with our SPG, local sausage and Folgers

No we are at Port Aransas Tx which is further south from where you stayed. Raining here today with temps at 60 degrees

32 heading to 35 with maybe some more rain/snow this morning. Yesterday we got 10” of snow that will need to be plowed/blown/shoveled today. At these warm temps the snow is going to be heavy so I plan to get out there early. Still an hour away from daylight right now. My wife already heard a branch snap off, the trees are very loaded with snow which will just get heavier as the day progresses so I expect more limbs and maybe some smaller trees to break.

Planning an early breakfast today so I can get to-it!

Do you have a generator on standby?

Yep! When we had our house built I had the electrician install a side panel with a generator input. It will run all the important circuits in the house. I just have a 7K portable generator so that limits what I can run. Fortunately I have only had to use it a couple of times and for very limited hours. In my last house where I had no backup other than a small Honda we had a few multiple day outages. I guess by being better prepared I have jinxed power outages.
