17 heading to 31 with maybe a sunny day on tap. Couple of nice days then bam, more snow expected on Wed. First fire in the stove for a few days, bout time to refill the wood rack on the patio. Not a clue what today will bring as far as activities go. But first.....coffee.

Might hit 54 degrees today and maybe a ride down to the range to check things out after all the rains last week. Guess what....more rain coming for New Years Day!

Never did get to the range today, worked on a clogged pipe in the house all day instead. Got it fixed finally. Wile E Coyote method....1/2 lb black powder down the drain & a match...actually I was tempted a few times....

I have spent many a winter night at 35 below laying under the house trying to thaw out frozen pipes. Luckily just a clog today.

Keith, you definitely live amongst beautiful country...still trying to understand though your tolerance for such harsh conditions?
You are definitely stronger than I could ever think of being. Perseverance I guess.

30° with fog. Flap Jack's , sausage, and coffee for breakfast. I'm stuffed. We are still making this new place home. Still working on all aspects of it. Garage/shop is 80% complete. Armory/radio room is about the same. I did put up a 2 meter antenna, and was able to talk to my buddy up in Roan Mountain (35 miles), and also virtually all of the areas big repeaters including Mt Mitchell in NC. Made a few new contacts. Looks to be a good radio location. After all the smoke clears, I will be on the hunt for a new place to shoot. I honestly haven't been to a public range since I don't know when. Spoiled I guess.

Last time I was in Texas I saw a lake with a sign that said this water never freezes. So I filled up my radiator with it.

26 heading all the way up to 30 with low clouds expected for the day. We have a winter storm warning in place for 5-9 inches of snow tomorrow so this is the calm before the storm so to speak. Supposed to snow all day so I’ll just keep the fire going and plow on Thursday.

That being said, I’m going to take advantage of today’s good weather and make a trip to Coeur d’alene ID to check the shops for components. Don’t expect to see much but at least it will get me out of the house.

Good ole’ Folgers right now but breakfast is calling.

Well, got busy this morning with stuff but it was about 59° when I walked the dogs about 7'ish. Just had a bowl of cereal, English muffin and coffee. Went and got my haircut (both of them) and then did some bass clarinet work for a client. Cleaned up the kitchen after lunch and now musing about what I want to do next. It got cloudy this afternoon. I was going to paint some trim around the back door frame but not sure I'll make that trip to get paint now or not. Supposed to rain tomorrow. I did manage got get the siding washed on the back of the house though. It looks new (almost).

The morning started in Dumas Tx at 33 degrees with a heavy fog and dew. We fought that until happiness is Lubbock Texas in your rear view mirror. Then the wind took over. It was a heavy crosswind and very annoying. Made it to Junction Tx and its 75 here all is well

There used to be a diner on the outskirts of town that had what they called the Junction Burger. Get ya some Al.
