I've sworn off of NASCAR and do plan to take a look at this new series .... I don't believe it will replace NASCAR any time soon but do believe it will offer serious competition .... with NASCAR pulling a very popular truck race from Tony's dirt track, it appears to me that they aren't pleased

I have pretty much kicked nascar to the curb since they banned the confederate/rebel flag from their events and also the debacle arising from the bubba wallace bullcrap!

If this series takes off, like it could, wouldn't it be something for it to draw more Nascar drivers.

As well as a huge amount of former Nascar fans to watch it. I'll be one of them.

I would like to see them race current production cars like the Mustang,Camaro and Challenger with the stock type engine package as offered to the public. It would be like the old Trans Am series back in 1967 thru 1970. Average fan could relate to the cars being raced as being what they can buy off the showroom floor. This was the backbone of Nascar racing back in the 50's and thru the 60's.
Also back then the teams had room to use their own tuning and build techniques on the cars within the rules. None of that today....all cookie cutter cars.

I agree too that it would be interesting to see it, but the main reason they moved away from that was in the name of safety.

If they could provide cars like that and make them just as safe, especially running on Superspeedways, that would be something. But in the age of tight money, I believe it would be way too expensive.

I'm no longer a Nascar fan, but you have to give them credit on how safe the cars have become since those good 'ol days. Take Ryan Newman for just one example last February. If he was driving a real stock car...

I’ve followed NASCAR and Indy since I was a young teenager. Nowadays I’m finding more ways to entertain myself. That and my 1985 tv only gets three channels. All free.

Looks like it going to be broadcast on regular TV. Hope I'm understanding it correctly. From a link found on the net:

"Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) and CBS Sports have announced the full 2021 schedule for the brand new six-race, short-track series that will begin on June 12th at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, Conn.. Races will air on six consecutive Saturday nights at 8 PM, ET on CBS Television Network and CBS All-Access throughout the Summer of 2021."

You got it Forty. When they stopped putting the C.I. & HP on the hood, they started downhill. Back when you win on Sunday, sell on Monday.
