33 heading to 46 with a wind advisory in place. Might see 45 mph which could cause some local power outages. Nothing like RanchRoper has been facing up there in Alberta. Rain today with several days ahead with clear skies and more normal temps. Prediction is for a green Christmas with maybe a bit of snow on the day after.

Not much on tap for today, probably just going to be a “putz around” day.

Folgers in the pot and breakfast on the horizon. Hoping for clear skies to see Saturn and Jupiter line up tonight.

I don’t know, maybe if I were to enjoy it somewhere else except for LA. Some years we go there to Christmas with the kids/grandkids and while I enjoy the weather immensely I can’t wait to get out of the chaos and head back home.

I can totally understand that going to LA. Not for me. How bout Port Aransas Texas. Right on the beach. No big city with palm trees and sand just beach.

After a full day of rain it finally stopped and turned to snow. I had three range days planned.

48 on its way to 56 .... thankfully, no rain .... busy day on tap and its started early .... have already picked up our truck from a local garage .... getting ready to use it to haul off our trash .... dehydrating pineapple, Jerky will go in shortly .... this afternoon packing Christmas packages in the truck to haul them over to our son's home where we will be spending the holiday .... fill camper's fresh water tank and prep it to haul tomorrow .... eggs, sausage and Folgers once again kicks things off

34 heading to 38. Had a windy night but not tree snapping wind so I don’t expect to find any issues today. We’re looking at several dry days ahead with maybe a bit of snow coming in Christmas night into the 26th. Yesterday we were in a light fog all day and thankfully right at nightfall the fog dissipated and the scattered clouds moved and we were able to see the Saturn and Jupiter alignment. Fun stuff.

Stopped into the Post Office yesterday and the line was out the door. I made a comment that it must be December and a guy said, that and it’s lunch time too. Since my package was not time sensitive I left and will go back first thing this morning. What was I thinking?

Until then I will enjoy my coffee and in a bit some breakfast.

Ya not to mention the PO wont move anything until they feel like it. Took 3 weeks for a sight to get here from Granville TN. 23 overnight headed to 55 but they say the wind is gonna blow today. I went shooting yesterday with the ole Hawken. Busted up some steel swingers with those 50 cal balls.

Stopped in today around 10 and there were only two people ahead of me. Funny, I sent a small box to Southern California and was in no hurry on delivery. I told the PO person to send it the cheapest way and she told me the difference between parcel post and priority was .05. Crazy, how can that be?

Down here in snowbird country it’s 33, but will hit mid 60s later. Checking my real home, roads are closed and it’s snowing sideways. I will take the desert for a few months.

30° and party cloudy. 2 cups of good coffee and breakfast is done. Ribs and back are doing OK, and we're still unpacking and setting up the house. Hope I never do this again. I sure miss our mountain cabin, and particularly my gun range. It's hard to adjust to traffic noise, and the night sky is ruined by lights. The wife is happy, and I guess I'll just have to adjust. It's hard being a mountain man living in the country suburbs . I had it good, and at least i can say that. Cheers

28 degrees on its way to 57 on what is slated to be a busy day .... things will kick off this morning with dehydrating a few pounds of jerky and end with towing our camper 3 miles to where we plan to spend Christmas .... eggs seasoned with our homemade SPG, sausage and Folgers

Currently 15 heading to maybe the low 30’s. I guess our heat wave is over. More of the same for the next few days with maybe some snow coming in Christmas night into Saturday. First fire in the stove in several days.

Other than running into town (the little one three miles away) to pick up our Christmas prime rib nothing else much planned.

My wife bought a HomePod from Apple that is supposed to do some electronic magic and of course and as I expected she’s having fits trying to get it to work. Probably not the right time to tell her, “I told you so!” I hate this stuff with a passion. Might just have to go downstairs and putz around.

Glad you're feeling better physically Tom.
I know how you feel otherwise. We spend the mild months up at our cabin outside Burnsville on the mountain.
It is quite a contrast when we close up for the winter and come back home to all the traffic, people and sirens constantly. We live very close to a hospital.
Nothing better than the peace and quiet on the mountain. Hope you are able to happily adjust!
