Our Morning Coffee and Weather

29 heading to 31, had a couple of inches of snow yesterday that I need to move around today. We get a break in the snow today but have several storms lined up for this week. Snow quantity is questionable as the temps may warm up and could be rain or a mix instead.

Shoveling my place and plowing for a couple of neighbors who have the good fortune of paved driveways. Mine is gravel so plowing a couple of inches of snow would move more gravel than snow. One neighbor is elderly and the other is recovering from surgery.

Coffee for now with breakfast soon, probably some Rasin Bran and Cracked Wheat Sourdough toast.

Windy night last night and got down to 39° this morning. Put the sweaters on the dogs for the walk....not so much for the cold but the wind chill. Just had cereal and coffee for breakfast. Painter is coming by today to give a quote on a couple of rooms next to be painted.

Up to 32 now in Tulsa area. We received about 4" of snow yesterday. Looking forward to heading to MT again this weekend--glad that my chains are being delivered in the next few days, because I think we will need them. I don't use my down coat too often here (it DID get to -27 a few years back!!), but definitely taking it to MT.

28° and full Sun. Working on my 2nd cup of coffee with dog in lap. We're still unpacking and whatnot. Today we're going to look for window shades. Oh boy, that's exciting. Ribs are a lot better. I can actually breath deep, and even sneeze with a lot less pain. Started putting my radio station together. Talk about spoiled, I've got a whole room dedicated just for guns, gun stuff and radio gear. I'm very happy. Might be awhile before I get on the air though. I'm still trying to figure out how, where and what types I will be using. Cheers

32 here. Winds of 50 mph. No shooting today. Reloading some 45 Colt. Luckily I stocked up last spring before the shortages. Tea in the Henry mug and out to do morning chores. In that wind I always eat more hay than horses do.

another BOOOOO chilly morning at 34 degrees and its only supposed to get up to 49 later today .... they are calling for ice in morning for areas a few miles west of us .... can only hope the weather front knows where the line .. .. got to fire up the Traveler and grill lunch to take over to long time friends who aren't in good health .... egg & cheese omelet with home smoked sausage, washing it down with Folgers

You wont need any salad for dinner then RR nothin but meat. Watched some Mountain Men episodes last night with my wife. Shes now addicted to that show. Eustace was splitting logs with a black powder log splitter. Drive it into the log fill it with BP stuff a fuse in it. Light it and run like hell. It was pretty cool. 10 here this am and headed to the mid 30's

Forgive me for bringing up a rather grim story, however, I felt the need to share.

Many years ago, my older brother was heavily into radios. He had a very small shop and spent many hours talking on and repairing CB radios. Some years later he developed in-operative brain cancer and passed at the young age of 42.
This was tragic for me and the whole family. He was my mentor.

Speculation, ( however never proven ) is that his exposure to the radio waves and equipment was the cause.

Just food for thought.......sorry, as I said, I just wanted to share.

31 heading to the mid 30’s with snow falling. Here in the snow-belt of Deer Park we are supposed to get 2-4 inches with Spokane forecasted to receive 1-2. I’m doubting we will get that much as I’m thinking it will turn to rain. We’ll see.

Interesting tidbit from the local weather guy, a month ago we were running 10-15 degrees below normal and by this weekend we will be 10-15 degrees warmer than normal. Sucks to be a meteorologist these days.

Today’s plans are up in the air, continuing snow will cause me to cocoon and maybe start some 357 load development for my Big Boy Steel or snow stopping or turning to rain will cause me to go outside and shovel. As much as I like option one, option two will still be there haunting me.

Looks like a real wintery day shaping up for tomorrow...snow, wind, and temps in the 20's...perfect day to go all Jeremiah Johnson (actually prefer Jim Bridger) and send some .50 cal big lead balls careening through the backboard at 50 yds!

32 heading to 36 with some evening rain expected. Received 2” of wet snow yesterday but should see some fast melting in the next couple of days. My sympathies PJM, and to everybody in the Northeast that’s going to get slammed.

No plans today other than looking for 41 mag components. Funny, I’m good on powder and primers but not on brass and bullets.

I lived in Spokane 1954-1977 minus a few years in Montana and the Army. Some years the city might be dumped on. Deer Park is a little higher if I remember right. Sledding down some of the city hills was always popular.

I miss that about Western Washington.

another BOOOOO chilly morning at 37 degrees and its only supposed to get up to 45 later today .... the ice they called for in areas a few miles west of us is there, the weather front apparently knows where the forecasters drew the line between rain and ice .. .. our morning started off early with a 40+ mile round trip drive for blood work for both my wife and me .... personally, I hate it when days start off that way, specially with breakfast comes a few hours later than usual .. .. now back home we've settled in for a cold, rainy day
