Remembering John Lennon

Post by markiver54 » Tue Dec 08, 2020 4:34 pm

Today marks 40 years since his death.
I un-successfully tried to post a youtube of him doing " Imagine ".
A very appropriate song for these times!

Lets honor Chuck Yeager as well. We lost him yesterday. " The Fastest Man Alive "

I was on my way to visit a client when the radio announcer broke into the broadcast to declare that John Lennon had been shot and killed. I pulled the car off to the side of the road and cried.

Loved his response to the Beatles breakup. It’s just a band. You’ve got all the old records... haha

Lennon & McCartney must be the most prolific song writing duo in history. Never see their like again.

Yep. A Beatles fan thru and thru. Timeless music. I was watching "Monday Night Football" when Howard Cosell announced the shooting. Bummer.
40 years! Wow.
