Christmas lights in the neighborhood.......

Post by fortyshooter » Mon Dec 07, 2020 7:11 pm

A few pics of some of the homes just down my street. The Christmas pics 1 2 3 are of the home on the corner we call "the Christmas Lady" as she is known and she has been doing this for years. Across from her home is her neighbor who does some nice displays. Really awesome to see in person walking around as she has Christmas music playing also!

I put a few up cause there isn't much voltage left when it makes it to my place!!

A friend lived in an area of a neighborhood in Richmond where most of his street heavily decorated for Christmas, he was on a cul-de-sac. His family didn't go all out, just strung a few lights and wrapped the evergreen in the front yard. Unfortunately for them, their neighborhood AND street were part of the "Tour of Lights" that ran from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Eve.

His family hated it. People parked in/turned around in their driveway until they bought large sawhorses to block it. For that whole month, they had to join the slow moving line of cars gawking at the decorations, to enter or leave the area if they went anywhere after dark.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Nice! I remember that kind of Christmas lighting when I was a kid. We do a bit here at our place. Thanks for posting that forty, I still like that kind of scenery and lighting.
