My 230 gr. "Trouble Shooter" .45 Colt load

So here's a choice if what you have are 250 gr RNFP cast bullets but you want a harder hitting bullet at standard Colt 45 power level with excellent penetration. Not a full wad cutter and intended for revolvers but MIGHT feed in some lever rifles these are my 230 gr. Hammer Heads loaded with 8.5-8.7 Unique powder. I'll call them the "Trouble Shooter"
Work great in small to large framed .45 revolvers and will bring some thump to the target....plates...4 or 2 legged critters.

With the long wait for bullets if you order..I just setup a batch of the Missouri Bullets 250 RNFP in the lathe and cut them back to a true .380 diameter flat nose which gives 230-234 gr. weight. COL is 1.480

Should be in the 870-920 FPS range depending on revolver and barrel length.

Gotta say forty, fine looking bullet you've made there. As Al said, range report will be interesting to see. Like you pictured revolver collection. Know you have more. Finished all my .empty .45 Colt cases today. That means another desert trip. And wife wants more damn rocks!

Well when I retired I knew right off I was going to have to add some shop equipment to my garage in order to make and repair things.
After many years in the trade it's in your blood and I keep thinking of things to build....the gears keep turning in my mind !

Know what you mean. I just don't have the room in my shed/ shop, for any more stuff. You could toss a dime in there, it'd never hit the floor.
