Range test of the .45 Colt wooden slug!

So you out of bullets...powder and primers but you want to target shoot with your .45 Colt SA revolver?

Well lets see just how accurate a 28 gr. piece of wood riding on rubber O-rings can be from 7 yds. powered by a Magnum shotgun primer.
While I had my 1858 Remington revolver out today we did just that! Result rivals what a 250 gr. slug with powder might do if you are on your game! :o

Forty, that has to be the most down-home way to keep shooting I've ever seen. Just amazing. Good for you.

Yep I have plenty of shotgun primers and the local Home Depot has plenty of hardwood dowel and O-rings!
Looks like ol' Remmie likes the load too!
