So in my new introduction a few days a go I mentioned I bought a Long Ranger in 223 and immediately upon opening the box noticed some cracks in the butt stock. The next day (11/5) I called Henry told the rep about my issue. She immediately said they over tightened it, which lead me to believe I'm not the first to experience this. Today I received a matching stock set. So that's 13 days from day of call to receiving new parts...not bad at all.
The original wood was just ok, definitely not a wood lottery winner. The replacements are much nicer

. So here's a pic showing the cracks
Here is a pic showing the new butt stock
Nice right?
And a pic showing the new and the old one
And lastly
Sorry I'm not a better photographer. I hope to get it to the range on Monday and sight in that scope
