OK. So I use Starline brass. Switching over from virgin/once fired to the Henry (from Marlin). I tend to be a Unique or RL7 guy under home cast. Simple question. Do these rifles prefer one primer over any of the others (generally)? I need to make an order and want to order some in.
Thanks
Thanks

I prefer CCI, the rifle might prefer one or another, if you wanted to take the time to check all out. Problem is, now you'll be lucky to find any. All components are scarce.

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Re: Henry H010 reloading
I have used CCI and Winchester with equal results.
I cringe to say this, but my son has a friend who owns a gun shop and mass reloads for the store. He has been using Russian primers with good results. He as an order of 26mil primers coming in and has agreed to sell me SPMag, SP, and LP primers.
I have no idea what Russian primers are or how reliable, I am that desperate. I almost feel like a traitor buying commie primers.
Feel free to let the comments fly !

Give 'em a try, if they work, have at it, if they've not satisfactory, move on. Desperate times, RNG.

Roger that, I had the same concerns. I will post up if and when I get them.

Looks like a nice GSP. I have a GWP (too old to hunt any more, just when a squirrel shows it's head in the yard and he makes me break out the air rifle). Love those dogs. My first pointer. Unsure what is going to replace the old boy.

Re: Henry H010 reloading
I have no idea JEBar, I was griping to my son about the lack of primers and he asked if I wanted him to ask his friend who owns a gun shop. I told him sure, and initially shunned the Russian primers. But with the prospect of no primers for a year or so I am willing to give them a try.
I know in the article I posted on the ammo shortage it stated there is a large shipment coming to port of primers from Russia, Turkey and Italy. No one is sure which port or when.
