Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
its been a very busy morning .... got up early to the sound of heavy rain .... the pictures below show the 3+ ft ditch in front or our house .... following a quick breakfast I had to head toward Raleigh for a medical appointment .... a bit of minor surgery surgery later I drove back home in steady, heavy rain .... got home in time to take lunch to our oldest grandson .... he spends his weekdays at home doing his school work over a video link with his school .... we make it a point to take him lunch once a week and thoroughly enjoy doing so .... still raining on our drive back home .... all of a sudden we ran into a road block caused by flooding over a major highway .... its a good thing that we know the area because we ran into one roadblock after a another .... with is still raining hard, we knew driving conditions weren't going to get better any time soon .... with the prediction calling for rain not to slack off until sometime tonight, we decided to make the 40+ mile round trip to pickup our 4 year old, soon to be grandson, from his daycare ....with the knowledge gained earlier about the roads we were able to make that drive without issue .... the pictures below are of our front yard .... they do a pretty good job of showing what its like around here

49° on the mountain. Looks cloudy with some blue poking out. 1st cup of Joe is down, and breakfast soon. We continue to move our household goods to a storage facility. Its a slow process. 70 mile round trip. Truck and trailer are loaded and ready to make a run. Hope to make 2 runs today.
Cheers!

58 on its way to 70 later today with (thankfully) next to no chance of rain .... it will take us a couple of days to get over the heavy rain that has fallen over the last couple days .... roads just northeast of us around Rocky Mount are still flooded .... a normal breakfast is over, not much on tap for today

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
18 degrees and bright sun this morning. Our normal should be low forties but we may hit 30 today.
Coffee and banana bread. Getting tired of this stuff but it's almost gone. Wife can't bear to throw away over ripe bananas.
Well, I'm eighty today. Don't feel like it and wonder how it came on so fast.
Got a new computer ordered and it should be delivered today. Birthday present to me.

Happy 80th birthday cooperhawk, nice milestone for you, congrats!
33 and snowing hard, probably 3” so far with more on the way. Forecasted high is 38 so this may turn to rain and that will be a mess
.
Woke up way too early today so I had a pre-breakfast of an English muffin with peanut butter and huckleberry jam on it. More to come here in a bit.
JEBar, that amount of water is incredible, hope you dry out and see land again soon.

Happy Birthday Sir! As far as the bananas go, maybe your wife could use them to make banana pudding.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:02 am18 degrees and bright sun this morning. Our normal should be low forties but we may hit 30 today.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Cloudy and cool and will get colder next week. After all the rain we got will wait several days before I check out the range property as I'm sure it is well soaked and the creek running very high!
