59 on its way to 78 later today .... the start of 3 days of rain is supposed to move in overnight .... we have already taken our Sportchassis to a local garage to trace down a leak in its compressed air system .... we plan to put a big turkey on to smoke .... breakfast will be along shortly

32 and partly cloudy this morning. Rain changing to snow this afternoon. 4 to 6 inches by morning.
Coffee and cookies.
Yesterday I built a low work bench to hold my planer and a new band saw. Today I will start painting it.

19 here this am and Im not sure how warm it will get its cloudy and foggy out now. We have a little amount of snow on the ground. Spent yesterday in the gun room. Loading 338 Win Mag ammo. The ammo I was using is now 62.00 a box. I think I can load some for that.

30 and snowing with about 3” so far. Coming down pretty heavy so who knows what amount of heavy wet snow I will have to move this morning. Still it’s beautiful out there.

Still sitting my my chair enjoying my coffee and a fire in the stove. Pretty soon I will have to get up and attach myself to a piece of snow moving equipment. So far it looks like a blower/shovel day.

Pretty picture, Hatchdog. Love snow, but we get very little, if any anymore. Right now, it's in the 70s, lite drizzle. little breeze.

Snow is rare in Louisiana but sometimes it occurs. Nice picture of the snow. Right now it is a balmy 79* with an overcast sky and a 20% chance of rain for today. I mowed all of the grass a few days ago so the yard is good to go if and when it does rain.

21 heading to a high of 34 so yesterday’s snow will be going nowhere. More snow coming towards the weekend. Might just have to plug into the TV and watch the Masters golf tournament (delayed from April) Thursday thru Sunday. Today is running into town for Costco, Rite Aid and a picture frame place.

But for now I’m enjoying my coffee and a warm fire and looking outside at the snow as daylight approaches.

24 this morning with snow covered ice. Sun is out and hopefully it will burn off.
Coffee and banana bread.
No plans today. Work in the shop I guess. Our goofy governor imposed new Covid
rules. Retail stores are now to be wide open with
restaurants and bars forced to close by ten PM with stricter spacing rules.
Thanksgiving three family's only with a cap of ten folks. No inside or outside
large gatherings. I guess that will stop those darn protesters.

Ya we have all that and our governor says no more than 5 in a gathering. Ive noticed that some restaurants have more people in them than others. Ive also noticed that theres more than 5 at some gatherings. Watched the Clemson Notre Dame game last Saturday night and when Notre Dame beat them there was quite a few folks gathering at the center of the field. 21 here today and headed to a balmy 46. Might wander to a few gun stores today and see whats there.

62 now, temp dropping during the day after a cold front. Cloudy, breezy.

8F tonight. Had some excitement just before dark this evening, a moose ran threw our back pasture, blew right through the wire fence and the horses followed him out the downed fence and up the road. Was just getting ready to go out and do chores before supper when the neighbor called and said the horses were out. Just dumb luck or maybe divine intervention that Badger and Houston stayed on the inside of the neighbors fence, but Dakota was headed up the road, on the road. Anyhow, I tore after him in the truck, got out and chased him down through some bush on foot, got him cornered in a fenced spot and got a rope on him. Walked him back to our place, and then Badger and Houston came tearing down the hill into the corral after him. Nothing like a dash through deep snow at 8F for a 63 yr old guy to get your heart pumping. All good now, horses back where they should be and other than a sore knee tonight, no worse for wear.

29 degrees and will get colder and snow some more.
The Wife is scheduled for on line conferences all day so I'm on my own.
Got prescriptions to pick up and some kind of lunch take out for her as well.
We have a local eatery that is hard to beat. Good food at ridiculous prices.

57* and overcast this morning. Supposed to get up to around 80* this afternoon. I will be headed out to the post office in about in hour to pick up mail and then stop in at the local mom and pop store for a loaf of bread and a few other needed items.

29 heading to 34. Very gray out there. Yesterday we remained overcast or upper fog all day so didn’t get above freezing. Where the snow had fallen from the limbs the needles were covered with frost. Quite beautiful to see. More snow coming in tonight and again on Sunday. The local ski resorts are loving it. They will be open for Thanksgiving this year which is the goal every year.

No plans today other that watching the Masters golf tournament on TV. We got all our running around done yesterday.

It's run by Pete's widow and she is Greek. I've gone in to do take out and the bill was
around $22.00. I put a twenty on the counter and was going for the rest and she that was
enough. Just come on back. No, I paid the full amount.
