Another new old guy!
Another new old guy!
Started shooting in 1960 and haven't stopped since
Can't shoot the big stuff any more so I decided to get a .22WMR rifle this year. Talk about lousy timing! Been looking for months in local shops (all of New England!) and finally found a Golden Boy .22 magnum in Arkansas! Now I have to wait for all the silly paperwork to be processed...and, of course, it's been 75 degrees all weekend!

Hey Dan. Welcome from Nebraska. Yeah, we feel your pain. I am simply biding my time waiting for the next rifle. Enjoy yours.

Dan, welcome to the forum from Tennessee. Enjoy your new Henry.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Re: Another new old guy!
Well, two day shipping from the seller to my local shop has turned into five day shipping...then I still have to wait for my background check to process...maybe by Christmas? Oh well, I'll have time to search for ammo in the meantime...

Re: Another new old guy!
Actually, I just did! .22WMR at 2019 prices! They sold out while I was on the phone ordering!

Re: Another new old guy!
Good deal, I am glad to hear that since most ammo these days is difficult to find or priced very expensively!
Re: Another new old guy!
Got all the papers signed today! Should have it in my grubby hands next Tuesday!

Re: Another new old guy!
Picked it up today! Gotta say, I like it! It's a good companion for my Winchester 1894 in 30-30.
I ordered another butt stock so I can chop it up to make a cheek comb so I can attach a scope and still be comfortable...a good Winter project for me. I'll leave the original stock original except for a couple of threaded screw adapters to accommodate the new cheekpiece.

Re: Another new old guy!
Beautiful rifle. I flipped it on its end so it would display in the proper perspective.
