we got back home from South Dakota just under a month ago and are already making repairs to our our equipment to get it ready to pull out for Texas in early January :

1st issue .... in KC on our way back I noticed a spot on our camper's roof that needed to be repaired .... by the time we got home, arrangements had been made it was fixed last week

2nd issue .... as we were pulling out of our site in Estelline, one of Maureen's brothers let me know that the camper's driver side turn/brake light wasn't working .... frankly, I wasn't in the mood to mess with it at that time .... 25+ days, 2,000+ miles later, I decided I needed to see if I could fix it .... we've had problems with the 7-wire cord that connects our truck to our camper .... months ago I bought a replacement cord and felt the time had come to cut the OEM wire and install the replacement .... stripping the ends of each OEM wire clearly showed at some point, two of the wires had really gotten hot .... they required some TLC to get them to where they could be soldered .... once the new section of wire was in place, we hooked it up to the truck .... the driver's side turn/brake light still didn't work .... figuring that the short which heated the wires probably burned a fuse, we checked the appropriate 12V fuse box (our truck has 4 of them) confirmed the 20 amp fuse was blown.... plugged in a new fuse and all's good .... 8-)

3rd issue .... hopefully late this week or early next week we will be able to fill one of the camper's 40lb tanks

I called a few weeks ago and tried to book a tour .... the fellow I spoke with said that because of Covid, they aren't booking any tours at this time .... I do plan to call back when we get to Texas in January and see if that is still the case

We title our posts very similar. Every time I see this post I think I started it and then ask myself “am I planning a trip to Texas next year”.

we are slowly checking off items on our pre-trip To Do List .... just picked up our truck following its yearly service .... glad that expense is now behind us .... have scheduled to take it in Tuesday for them to find and repair a leak in the truck's air pressure system .... just ordered a replacement 10 tire monitoring system .... the next item to be taken care of is installing new windshield wipers
