I'd hate to pay that traffic ticket.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Closed section of highway outside of Las Vegas..... did they tell all the jackrabbits and coyotes about this? It seems to me that a logical and safe place for this PR stunt would be a dry lakebed. Not a thin strip of public highway with fences and wildlife... I am not at all impressed with anything but the fact that he shifted into high gear at 250 mph. This reminds me of “Worlds Fastest Indian”. The officials thought Bert Munro’s streamliner would not even qualify, then it did, easily in his first try - he complained that he could not get it into high gear and would do better on his next run . LOL. What a great movie.

90 mph, '49 Ford pickup. double stacks, running a 289. Me and this other idiot sitting in the bed for weight. The rear wheels were hopping and bouncing trying to hook up. Almost tossed us out. Running against a '55 chevy. with a 283. Did not get us by much. We sure had a lot of fun with that Ford or was it the Jimmy? Heck, I can remember anymore. A lot of racing on the Interstate outside of Sioux Falls around 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday nights back in "60's.
