Boy what a beautiful cat. He sure liked rolling around in that snake odor. I can't get over how he took out that snake. He was persistent as all get out.

Good cat! I hate Rattle snakes. We have had problems in our area with rattlers this year.

Wow! Have to hand it to that cat. What great hunters they are!
Re: Bobcat vs. Rattlesnake......
That's one bad azz cat. Felt rather proud of hisself too, seemed like.

That was amazing. I watched several of the videos after that and they were all good.

Re: Bobcat vs. Rattlesnake......
Al, I've heard it is similar.
Had a friend that where he lived, about an hour south of me. His name was AL, also.
They have them in that area and kill a few every year.
He said they were very good, but I never got to try them.

Isn't that a lynx with those ear tufts?
Last Spring we had a female with two kittens walk through the snow in our front drive. Just saw the tracks.

Re: Bobcat vs. Rattlesnake......
Bobcats have them too.

A lynx is a much bigger cat than Bob.

Re: Bobcat vs. Rattlesnake......
I do believe that is a Bob Cat if you want to go by this description:" Both lynx and bobcat have short, roundish, stubby tail. Tail of bobcat is covered with black stripes and has bi-colored tip: black on the upper side and white below. Tail of lynx is slightly shorter and entirely black on the tip."

Re: Bobcat vs. Rattlesnake......
Saw this neat video on a local bobcat population. It is a small barrier island a little south of Charleston that hosts a higher end community. I used to work as a security guard many years ago at the neighboring, very similar Seabrook Island.

The video is about 14 minutes and was professionally produced. Very informative and interesting, even if you don't live nearby.
I have seen a couple bobcats in the wild, but they are very good at staying hidden.

Re: Bobcat vs. Rattlesnake......
Fascinating video. Thanks for posting it. I've seen their tracks along the shore of the CT River for decades, but have never actually seen a cat. Not likely to, either.

Saw a bobcat once on the hillside across the road from my place probably 30 years ago, have never seen one again.
