Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Coffee with stripes.
40s and rain but the wind has gone down at least. Maybe I can blow some leaves this afternoon.
Seafood truck scheduled to be in town this morning and I'm going to see what I can get.
They say in the email they will have shucked oysters, fresh shrimp, crap meat, and red snapper
right out of Galveston Bay. Now I know that's not a big deal to you coasties, but up here in snow
land it is. I'll get a bunch and we'll feast for a day or two and freeze the rest. What we get here
in the supermarket is mostly from China or Vietnam and farm raised. Ugh!

Me & ladders just don't get along. I had a step ladder break & fall with me. Tore up my shoe, nearly pulled off the big toe nail.
I just don't trust my knees & ankles on steps.
Moe, I hope you'll be ok. We're both getting too long in the tooth to be doing such as that.

Moe hope nothing serious, I am starting to get more interested in the Leaf Guard commercials. Not scared of heights but had a bout of Vertigo after knee replacement, kind of leery of ladders.

My Wife had a client that did leaf guard gutters and a couple years back she had them installed on our house. She doesn't want me on
a ladder anymore. Wouldn't even let me paint the house last year. Guess she likes me after all this time.
I was working out in the pole barn last year on a step ladder and fell between the blade on the tractor and a metal rack. I was lucky and
only got a little bruised.
Old men should stay close to the ground, course we aren't always that smart.
Heal my friend.
BTW, Alcohol is a good muscle relaxer.

We got an inch of snow so far, but nothing much to worry about, unlike how the weather channel put it. It's about 25F.

24° and Sunny on the mountain. Breakfast is done and was quite tasty. 1st cup of coffee down.
I fell off my ladder yesterday while cleaning gutters. I was on my way up a 28 ft extendable ladder. I was up maybe 6 feet when the ladder shiffted . I fell on the real steep side of yard, so the total distance was about 10 feet.
I hit the ground hard on my right side, did a somersault going down hill and my torso and head was stopped by a tree. I had one hell of a headache for awhile, and my upper hip is not doing to good. The pain feels like sciatica pain but much worse. I didn't go to the emergency room, but I'm pretty beat up. Will see how it goes today.

Man Moetur I hope you recover ok. Old men and ladders dont belong together. I hate ladder work and avoid it at all cost. I remember my Grandfather falling off the ladder and breaking his hip.That right there has stuck in my mind. 41 here this am and went to 70 with smoke. Im tired of this damn smoke. I wish it would snow 4 ft and put that fire on the mountain out.

40° and Sunny on the mountain. 1st cup of coffee is working to get me going. I won't be able to make breakfast, due to my back pain. I'm on the heating pad. Im hurting more this morning for some reason. I haven't taken anything for pain since Friday. I'll get passed this, but I hope it's soon.

40 and raining this morning. Supposed to rain today and then clear up and get cold with temps in the low 20’s overnight and upper 30’s for a high by the end of the week. Been a tough couple of days, our 11 year old Golden Retriever died Friday night. I’m going to post some words and pictures in the hunting section in his honor.

Even tho it’s 40 my wife and I are up way early before the furnace kicks in so I built a fire.

So sorry for your loss Hatch. I personally know how difficult it is to lose a 4 legged family member.

So sorry Hatchdog, very tough to lose your dog, sunny and 27 here this morning and the high is only supposed to be 37. Mass on TV and then pheasant hunting. Everyone have a great day!

Sorry for the loss Hatch. Love Golden Retrievers myself they are a great dog. I have 2 Cavaliers myself. They are like family. 32 here this am and supposed to be 50 today will see. Its cloudy now and looks like we got a little rain.

Sorry for the loss of your Pal. It's hard. I went through it in 2018. To this day I still stop by the swimming hole where he used to swim, and talk to him. It's hard to get through it, but in time you'll start thinking about all the good times, and the pain will dull.

Rain this morning here in the ozarks. We needed it so thats ok.... just makes it a two cup morning ( thats to get the day started you understand.)... there will for sure be more cups later on!! ....

42 here in the Inland Pacific Northwest which is downright balmy compared to the weeks forecast. We’re looking at lows hitting the low teens and highs in the upper 20’s by the end of the week. Then there’s that pesky snow word also.......

Thank you everybody for your kind words and condolences regarding loosing my dog to old age this last Friday. Still struggling a little bit but doing much better than last Saturday. Woke up three hours early so built a nice fire in the stove even tho it’s in the 40’s.
