Homemade pizza last night with Prosciutto Caramelized Onions mushrooms and yes bacon on it. Wife also made the crust from scratch. It was really good washed down with a couple of Modelo Negras. Hope everyone had a great day

Last night was special. Since I married the lovely Mrs. Cooperhawk I lost my rights to the kitchen.
See I was single for 19 years raising my sons, so I had the kitchen to myself. We hardly ever ate out and we ate well.
Well, it seems that I never put things back where she can find them, (actually she loves to cook and eat her food, not so much mine).
Anyway, I received permission to make my own version of Chili, (Which I dearly love), and any Texan I suppose would hate.
It involves such things as a two pounds of good hamburger, a Jalapeno pepper, bell peppers, ripe tomatoes, and
of course lots of Chili Powder tomato paste, tomato sauce,onions and Cumin.
I then simmered it for two hours blending the flavors.
Last evening I ate two steaming bowls of it topped with cheese and served with corn bread that Carol made.
I washed it down with a frosted mug or Schell's Deer Brand, Pre Prohibition Lager. (really good).
Carol also had a large bowl.
She even complemented me on it. Said that I nailed it. Now that is unusual for her.

Later a martini or two.

Had a VFW meeting last night and got home about 9 with a martini waiting. I have a good woman.
Anyone else put cherry tomatoes in their martini? I love them.

Coop, I have to thank you for what may be my new goto martini. I made one last night with a cherry tomato (2) and I have to say it was killer. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just got out of this. I love it! Still about 65 here on the porch at the cabin. Getting ready to pour myself a little 46 over a whisky ball. Life is good at the moment!

Had a couple glasses of some whistle Pig whiskey good stuff. Then Salmon for dinner was excellent.

Celebrated last night. Nothing in particular, just needed to celebrate something.
Went to our favorite steak house and had dinner.
Garden salad with blue cheese, garlic toast, relish tray. All fresh and good.
Tanquera martini with olives.
Baked potato with sour cream.
Two broiled lobster tails.

Take that Covid! Felt really good.

Talked with my ex-neighbors that moved off to Kansas for 3 hrs.
Through FB messenger, sippin cold B&T's, had lots of laughs, then a double of 46 and off to bed.
