We are having the whole deal tonight. House has smelled liking turkey cooking all day....cool sunny day, snow on the mountain tops, ALL winter prep chores done, woodstove going....life is good.

Awesome! It’s pouring down rain here today. Was 77-78* all last couple of weeks, so it’s a bit of a change! We are doing our bird tomorrow. The last wild one I shot was on a ranch and feeding on alfalfa. This one was in the woods about a mile from the ranch and had a crop full of grasshoppers and berries. I’m very interested to see what it tastes like!

Well, I can confirm it doesn’t seem to matter what they eat, turkeys are DELICIOUS!
