Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Just starting a cup. 54 this morning with clear skies.
I was wrong again. Storms won't hit until tomorrow evening. We need the rain.
Fall colors are about over and leaves are everywhere. Winter is coming.
I have a four wheeler with a bench seat and dump box where I place a large
back pack leaf blower. Then I use flex pipe to run the nozzle around to the front
of the unit facing left of the driver. Then I drive our half mile drive in the woods
blowing the leaves off the drive itself. I do this because when the hard freeze comes
I want the drive bare so it freezes evenly. Otherwise the first time I plow snow I
actually plow up the rock that the leaves have prevented from freezing.

Carol has a habit of getting up later than I and frying up a sausage sandwich which can smell from my man cave.
Yesterday I suggested that I might want one as well. Waiting..............

Guess what? She came down this morning and asked if I would like one. YUP!
Man was that good. Purnell's Old Folk's Sausage. Seen it advertised on TV but first one I've had.
Really good.

Slept in until 7:00 this morning, can’t remember the last time I slept in so late, felt great! 50 heading to 56 today with the very needed rain falling, We might get up to a half inch with possible thunderstorms this afternoon. Very rare around here to have thunderstorms in the fall.

Speaking of breakfast sandwiches Coop, my wife did the same thing this morning. She made us sandwiches with bacon, egg and cheese on grilled nine grain bread. Outstanding!!!!!

In this area is a fruit and veggie farm community that always has a big harvest celebration that lasts for several weeks. It’s on a bluff overlooking Spokane and on a nice crisp sunny fall day is like a little bit of heaven. We are planning a trip up there today even tho it’s a gray rainy day and my goal is to stop into the local church that sells apple dumplings for just three weekends. Yum.

I my usual cereal, strawberries, banana bread and coffee. We only got a trace of rain from "Delta". It also brought in the muggy Gulf moisture. Currently 84° headed to 90's.

rain is very much the word of the day .... 64 with light but steady rain where we are camped in Roanoke Rapids, NC .... from looking at the forecast its anticipated to get up to 70 later today with rain where we are slated to move to Thousand Trails Chesapeake Campground .... breakfast with a single cup of Folgers on tap

71º and cloudy today. Getting the grass cut down low to get ready for the leaf cleanup that seems imminent. Last Thursday I was mowing the out lot and ducking under some tree limbs when a branch knocked off my muffs and pulled out a hearing aid, think it got mulched. I was expecting a phone call and was wearing my aids so I could hear the incoming call through the blue tooth. Stupid.

37 and as the sky lightens up it looks to be a sunny day. Yesterday’s much need rain came with some pretty good winds. Of course now I have pine needles everywhere so today I will be scooping them up with the mower. More rain tonight hopefully.

Picked up some huckleberry coffee cake at the farm community yesterday so I believe that will be my breakfast today. Nothing wrong with that.

Partly cloudy, 64 and what’s really weird it’s also the high for today? Cold front moving in, down the 40’s this afternoon. Mass on TV this morning, Skype with son in Denmark, Pumpernickel bagel with bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. Everyone have a great day!

Warm morning for October. Hopefully a couple of fronts coming through this week will make it feel like fall again. It was 75° at 7:00 a.m. this morning and now 84°. Supposed to get up to 92°. Made bacon, eggs, coffee, and small slice of banana bread for breakfast. Got some work to do today but not much! Enjoyed the Mizzou-LSU game yesterday. The hungrier Tiger won! MIZ-ZOU!

Low 50s this AM. Coffee and Orio's. I'm going to switch to strips when these are gone.
After Church we stopped in town for brunch and it was outstanding.
Country fried steak with sausage gravy, crispy hash browns, and farm fresh eggs.
More than I could eat. Washed down with a pot of decaf.
If I drink something with caffeine, my doctor has a heart attack.

59° on the mountain. Gray skies and wet out. 1st cup of coffee down, and breakfast is on the way. I've got tons of leaves to move around today, and tomorrow. It's that time of the year. Cheers

44 with sunny skies forecast. Had another quarter inch of rain last night, thank you!!! More rain overnight tonight with a high wind warning for tomorrow, 40 - 50 mph.

Just coffee for now, breakfast on the horizon. Today’s activities include finish cutting up the trees into rounds and some raking.
