It's a good thing it was AW

Post by clovishound » Mon Aug 01, 2016 1:49 pm

Went to pay a bill this morning and the office was closed for another 20 minutes. Rather than go back home I decided to kill a few minutes at the nearby gun store I patronize. They had two all weather models on the shelf. I looked at the 45-70 model.

I may have gotten some drool on it.

If I didn't already have a .357 steel, and didn't run so many rounds through at the range, I would be checking my account balance very carefully right now.

I really like the curved lever loop.

I don't need another Henry. I don't need another Henry. I don't need another Henry.

Yeah you really need that. I mean, it's an ALL WEATHER!

How much were they asking for the 45-70 AW?

Did I mention how much you really need that?!?

I don't remember exactly. The 30-30 was $929. The 45-70 was less, but not less than $900. I thought it odd that the 30-30 was more.
