Range Report: Henry and Steel

Post by Sir Henry » Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:24 pm

I’ll make a separate report on the CZ tonight.

I plinked with the Henry for hours this afternoon after shooting the CZ In the morning. This range has a row of gongs of different sizes and types and it was fun to just keep shooting down the line and get everyone.

Anywhere between 10 and 25 yards. The targets were on the same line and you could go close or back. When more than one person was on the range you cooperated witt each other. Only one other person was using it and we would alternate who shot.

Looks like a lot of fun. I am wanting to know how you did with the CZ for your self challenge.

About an hour from Fort Hood. I think north and yes it is open to anyone the owner likes. It is a out in the middle of nowhere and the owner just set it up on his property. I didn’t ask about a business license if you know what I mean.

I have to do this teaser post first. 🙂

Actually the post will be more complex than I can post about in the field. We are still shooting.

Wonderful range. Oh, yeah, punching paper is a necessity, but shooting steel is a lot more fun.
