48 this morning. It was excellent sleeping weather and I got to sleep in for once. Going to 55 or so today.

Coffee in the Henry mug this morning. First cup so far. Drizzly and rainy.

49 on its way to 69 later today with next to no chance of rain in central NC .... mowing along with moving summer stuff out and winter stuff into our camper .... bacon, eggs, and Folgers

Sir Henry, you probably wouldn’t recognize Kellog ID, the ski resort (Silver Mountain) has really brought a feeling of tourist to the area. There is now a beautiful hotel with an attached water park, the vastly improved ski area and the golf course I played yesterday. There’s still traces of the mining from the past and a large eyesore area that’s either a surface mine or the largest gravel excavation area I have ever seen. Going thru town on I-90 it’s not very attractive but when you get into the resort area’s it’s pretty nice.

Heading over to my sons place this morning to help him do some brush trimming and tree limbing but right now I’m enjoying my pre-breakfast Folgers...

62° headed up to about 84° today. Just had a bowl of cereal and a banana. Coffee, of course. Have a bit of work to do but mainly having some fun with the new Gretsch I got this week.

another beautiful fall day on tap for central NC .... 51 on its way to 69 with almost no chance of rain .... awoke very early with thoughts of a problem with our truck on my mind .... thank goodness for U-Tube .... Folgers is flowing, breakfast will come along later this morning

38 this morning. Supposed to be clear and cool today, but really nice for the next week.
Coffee and Orios, Church and then brunch.
Place we went last week had excellent biscuits with sausage gravy. Going again.
Will watch Talladaga today. Yes, they still do the invocation and anthem and still
waiting for them to wreck Bubba.

42° and nice out. Looks like a wonderful week ahead. Fall is in full swing here. We're about 5 or 6 days from peak leaf color. The Peepers should be flooding all the campgrounds and cabins up here soon. Ill stay off the road during that time.
1st cup down, and it's my turn to cook. I got most of the chores done yesterday, so today is going to be a rest day. Maybe a little radio later on. I've been experimenting with a 160 meter band antenna. You have to have a lot of property to put one up. 250' of wire. Anyway that's the kind of geeky stuff I do when im not in the gun room. Cheers.

70° right now. Didn't look at the temps when I got up 3 or so hours ago. Headed up to about 86° today. Birds are happy and full of song this morning. A bit of cereal, English muffin, and coffee. Not much on the agenda today. I'll play it by ear.

A beautiful sunny day here in the Rushmore state, 52 with a high of 72 expected. When I was growing up we were known as the coyote state and then the sunshine state now the Rushmore state. The coyote is still the state animal. Everyone have a great day!

42° and nice out. Looks like a wonderful week ahead. Fall is in full swing here. We're about 5 or 6 days from peak leaf color. The Peepers should be flooding all the campgrounds and cabins up here soon. Ill stay off the road during that time.
1st cup down, and it's my turn to cook. I got most of the chores done yesterday, so today is going to be a rest day. Maybe a little radio later on. I've been experimenting with a 160 meter band antenna. You have to have a lot of property to put one up. 250' of wire. Anyway that's the kind of geeky stuff I do when im not in the gun room. Cheers.

Slept in today but when I got up at 6:45 it was 44 with a light fog. Getting up to 78 today and we are still running 10-15 degrees above average. Enjoying my Folgers right now with plans in a few to make a bacon egg and cheese scramble...

Yesterday our neighbor had a guy cut down some trees so I had him come over here to cut down five trees that are too close to my building to do myself. Two larger and three on the small side. So today I start cutting them up, piling limbs for burning when we get snow or substantial rain and the trunks into rounds for firewood. Got plenty for this year so I’ll leave the wood in rounds to dry for splitting next spring.

70 here today, fall colors at their peak. Next weekend it cools off and most leaves will be down. Feeding hay now morning and night. Next weekend trim some bushes down so the snow won't drift in the drive, and finish filling the woodshed. Lots of saddle time right now.

44° on the mountain and clear out. We've been having some awesome weather lately.
1st cup of coffee in the Gadsen Flag mug, and waiting for breakfast. I've been putting a lot of miles on my SXS in the last few days. Lots of tourists and campers up here right now. Yard work today, and for the 2st time in awhile lots of leaf blowing. Let the games begin. Cheers
